Craftsman Professional 1500 lb. Motorcycle/ATV Jack is the best yet. I had the older heavier red steel one and this one is so much lighter, heavier duty and stable feeling. i can't believe i didnt buy it before. the extra money i spent on it was well worth the difference. i have looked at several different manufacturers jacks. this one is by far the one to own. it almost seems you can jack up a car with it but dont. the rams wont handle the load. you can rest assured when you get your bike on it. it will be stable.

awesome Jack Sears.. home run!!
...

This jack was bought for use on a fairly heavy cruiser and works very well. The bike has to be upright (off the kickstand) to get the jack fully under it, but is easy to operate and feels very steady even with the bike at the highest extension. When letting the bike down it is easy to control the descent to let it down slowly.Very nice addition to my bike garage.
...

I have had mine for a couple of years now with no issues. I have an 800 pound bike and if you center the jack carefully, I had no problems. I have pulled the rear and front wheel, removed the forks, built and installed custom saddlebags and fairing, engine work and wiring. If you have some comon sense, you can work with this jack. Consider when you remove the rear wheel, then the suddon weight loss off the rear of the bike will make the front heavy. Just consider your jack position before lifting the bike. I slightly lifted the bike, removed the rear wheel axle and jacked the bike up off the wheel while watching the jack position before lifting the bike up high

Releasing the jack has a technique also. Start by not over tightening the jack in the first place. To lower the bike, you must lift the bike a little bit to allow releasing the safety lock. Then when you want to twist the handle to lower the bike, you don't just twist firmly until it releases and drops too quickly. It must be controlled....
...

I was hesitant about purchasing this item after reading some of the reviews. That and my experience has, until recently, only been with sport bikes; basically motorcycles that only weigh ~400 lbs with a full tank.

I recently purchased a 2009 HD Softtail and wanted a 'professional' way to get the bike propped upright and elevated when I work on it. This jack works beautifully for the job. Low enough to slide under the frame and smooth enough to operate by one person (no one else needed to steady the bike).

The staged elevation locks work nicely and the included straps, while not seemingly very sturdy, are plenty strong for the job.

The frame is an attractive shop design, lightweight and 'thick', meaning it isn't a chintzy affair.

While I agree that 360 degree capable wheels on the front would be nice, I can only imagine that additional strengthening of the front frame would be required...but I am no engineer, so I cannot say for certain.

I would not hesitate to recommend this jack...
...

after reading the reviews on the entry level craftsman m/c lift, i decided to purchase the aluminum pro lift. great choice! lifts my heavy touring bike no problem. also lifts my dirt bike with the included adaptors. lightweight, easy to move around, although front 360 wheels would be nice. left my heavy bike on lift for 3-nights and it lowered onto the safety latches as it is supposed too. will most likely leave bike on it for winter months. very happy with purchase.
...

This jack will work well for a light bike. It does not work well for a Harley ultra classic! The frame flexed to a point the bike almost fell! Once again worked fine , but ABSOLUTLY NOT BUILT for a heavy bike. I had red model #34612 it was much sturdier and better built, but mine, like most of the reveiws, had a bottle jack failure. The bike was on the lift and i couldn't lift it off the safety notch to lower it! Had to call some friends to lift bike up to get it down. Once again I wouldn't even consider this jack for a heavy bike.
...

My wife purchase this jack for me to work on my Road King. It really looks good in the box and pictures. The first jack did not even work. I assume the seal was bad. Put it back in the box and hauled it back to Sears. I exchanged it for a second one. On this one the piston did work. The first problem is the lifting pad on the jack will not fit between the cross gusset on the read Road King frame. If you scoot the jack towards the front a little to avoid the bracket, the jack will pick the bike up fine, but. Now the jack is leaning to one side. Looked dangerous so I had to make some shims to add on the the rubbers so I could get it centered. O.K. I could live with that. Now, with the weight of the bike on the jack, its a bear to move the jack around. Terrible design of the back casters. Way too small, and should have bearings with grease fittings like some of the other models. The release for the lock is a pain to and should have a longer handle instead of having to kick it with your foot....
...

I have an 02 Harley Road King....needed a jack.

This jack is lightweight, easy to manuever, easy to carry.

Lifts my bike with ease, has four height locking positions and two straps to strap around the bike once lifted. (I just use one) Bike frame sits on it fairly stable and has the rubber on the lift so no scratching of frame.

Follow directions, let the bike rest on the mechanical locking position and release the hydraulic pressure.

I don't want 360 front wheels...the back wheels do 360....good enough, it may be unsafe with all wheels being able to rotate 360 degrees.

Happy with my purchase.
...

The jack is very light weight and easy to move around to position under the motorcycle. The jack is not as stable side to side as another jack I used. The bike acts like it wants to bounce off the jack. I'm sure this is due to the narrow width of the jack. Not real study for a heavy bike.
...

Got this to lift my Dyna, had to buy the adapters for it to work and I can say that it works well. It is not as steady as some of the more expensive jacks, but it does the job well. Also you have to watch out for the kickstand as the jack sits on it, no way I have found around that one. If you are looking for a good motorcycle jack at the right price, this is the one. I have had mine for 2 years, done tire maintenance, primary work, oil changes...and some other things with it, in addition to storing it jacked up for the past 2 years without an issue.
...

I have read most of the reviews and agree with some and disagree with most of them. I have a 2010 Harley Street Glide which is no little bike. It weighs over 800 lbs. The jack lifted it with no problem. Yes it is tippy front to back if you push on the end of the bike. I would suggest putting something under the rear wheel that will prevent it from coming down. Other than that the bike is very stable while it up in the air. The locks worked great. I lowered the bike 2 inches and the jack still slides under it with no problem. As for lowering it takes common sense. You have to slowly turn the bar slowly to let it down slow. If you turn it as fast as you can it will drop fast. Yes it would be nice if the front wheels locked and swiveled 360 degrees. But overall this jack works great and it will look good for a long time. I would recommend this jack to anyone.
...

Great product, lightweight and easy to use. A bit more expensive than other Sears motorcycle jacks but well worth the money. Since it is made of aluminum washing my motorcycle is easy without concern over rust. Also, no lengthy assembly, just insert the handle and you are ready to go. Instructions are brief, to the point and easy to understand....

I have a 2008 Harley Ultra Classic. This jack works perfect. I use it mainly for washing my motorcycle, but it is strong enough and sturdy enough to do any maintenance you want to do. The only thing you have to be careful with, is the tie down straps. Common sense tells you that you have to use a towel, or some sort of cloth to put over your tank when you secure it. If I were to give a "con" about it, it would be that it would be nice if all the wheels swiveled. I would recommend this jack to anybody with a motorcycle!...

I am totally satisfied with my aluminum jack from Sears. I have a full dressed Kawasaki Nomad total weight 900 + with bags and trunk, the jack lifts this bike with no problem and it is very secure. I have not yet used the tie down straps but when I remove a wheel I will use them. The bike goes up smooth and comes down smooth, you do have to make sure you don't turn the release very fast or it will come down quickly. I have not rolled the jack with the bike up and I feel it would not be a safe practice so I have no experience with moving the bike while on the jack.
I have also lifted my Zero turn lawn mower it makes working under the mower much easier than the floor jack I was using....

I'm using it to lift my 11' long custom chopper and no problems, much better than my flimsy old jack, and it has a very low profile. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because it needs a way to lock the wheels so it can't roll while you're working on the bike....

I bought this last in dec of 2009 and wanted to use it for awhile before giving a review. I have two sportsman x2 atvs - they have a longer wheelbase and are a little heavier than a regular atv because they are two ups . The jack has preformed geat , used it many times in the last year. Be sure to use the strap to secure the atv to the jack. My machines are approx. 875 Lbs so I can't see using the jack without the strap.

I have learned that it is a good idea to put a jack stand under the machine for a little insurance - although the atv has not fallen off, its a little unsettling when you take two tires off the rear and you see the front drop down. I really don't think that has anything to do with the jack - it would likely happen with any jack, just a heads up. I have also been able to move the machine around on the jack without a problem. I have already recommended this two many friend with atvs - a few have the cheaper one and are now replacing it with this...
...
