http://www.mysears.com/Delonghi-12-000-BTU-Portable-Air-Conditioner-reviews Mon, 16 Aug 2010 17:58:21 GMT Latest reviews about DeLONGHI 12,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner http://www.mysears.com/Delonghi-12-000-BTU-Portable-Air-Conditioner-review-84024 <p>We ordered this to cool a living room/kitchen combo that is approximately 500 square feet.  We never expected the unit to cool the room to the temperature set on the thermostat, since the room is divided by a half wall and open to a hallway, but it does make a noticable difference (15 to 20 degrees cooler than without it, even with the oven or stove operating).  We vented it to the front window of our home, which is the focal point of our facade, and from the street, you can't even see it.  Inside, it's little large, but not unattractive.  I like the fact that it is very easy to move and can be used as a dehumidifier also.  One caveat - if it's tipped on its side or turned upside down, the user's manual instructs you to wait at least 6 hours, preferably 24, to turn it on.  Since I ordered online and had it shipped, I waited until the next day to use it because I couldn't be sure it wasn't tipped over and didn't want to ruin it as soon as I got it!</p> <p>I ordered this brand because DeLonghi...</p>... The sales person assured me that I would be getting the lowest price available at sears and reminded me sears policy to meet and beat other stores prices. I felt confident that I was getting the best price as was the same as when I purchased my television. </p> <p>After CA sales tax this unit comes to 630 dollars and some change. But once again, I remember the sears policy supposably this is the cheapest I will find it anywhere. So I purchase the unit and head home. </p> <p>I get home unbox the unit go online looking...</p>...
