This item makes a bad start to a day much better when you dont have to wait for someone to come jump your car. When out for the day with kids it will run a DVD player or radio to keep them entertained when you need a rest. And when you have a function such as a Cancer Walk it will light you or cool you which ever one you need.

After only one use and numerous recharges, the battery alarm sounds and won't stop until you recharge it back to 100%. Unplug it from the charger and within an hour the alarm sounds again. I disconnected the battery and let it sit for several hours, reconnected and same thing, alarm would not stop unless I kept it plugged in. Now only after a year, the battery needs to be replaced at a cost of $60. Don't waste you money..

I have bought two of these. One work great and never gave me a problem. The second unit I purchased the compressor went out on it after inflating one tire. I took it back and exchanged it for another. My daughter takes it camping. They used it to plug in a small air pump to inflate a queen size air mattress. They also use it to charge their cell phones and to light the tent....

We have one of these, and they are handy to have for jumpstarting your vehicle and lawn mowers. Also has 12volt outlets for charging cell phones or to run a light. also comes with light built in. Worked great during ice storm 2009 for light and recharging phones. It is very handy to have aroung in emergencies.

Purchased this portable power unit and right out of the box the unit would NEVER charge to 100%, even after more than 72 hours. Still tried to use the inverter feature anyway and it would not provide power to a small utility light with a 40 watt bulb for more than 10 total minutes. Exchanged the unit for a second one. The second unit charged to a 100% right out of the box and provided at least 3hrs of power to my utility light. However, all my attempts to recharge the unit after the initial use were a total bust. Unit would never charge back above 53%, no matter how long I left it plugged into the charger. Reluctantly, I asked for and received a refund for my purchase....

My boys gave me one a couple years ago. It's great. The charge lasts for a couple months, and has a surprising number of uses. The compressor is more than adequate, the charging is fine, and the 120/12 volt outputs are great when you need extra chargers, or when you're out camping. Speaking of camping, the air pump is great for air mattresses or starting charcoal. THe only improvement I'd make is to the light -- the way it's angled it always seems to be in your eyes whereever you put it.

Overall a great product. It is very versatile and nice to have when there is not easy access to an outlet. Great on camping trips for charging and small comforts of home. I keep it in my car for anything unexcepted.

Bought this 13 months ago and used it 3 times .After I followed the directions and charged it the suggested amount of time I tried it to see if it worked.The first time it worked fine. I keep it in my den so it never got to cold or anything abusive.Last week I needed it . I checked it, it was at 98%. I had to go to my daughters to help her get her car started. I hooked it up and nothing. I checked the light it worked. Tried the compressor it didn't work..I took it home thought maybe the charge indicater was malfunctioning... Nope the jumper and the compressor didn't work. The two things I purchased it for didn't work and it is a very expensive flashlight and not a very good one I might add. I took it to Sears and they told me the warrenty had expired and to dispose of it properly.... Really ! ! ! ! I spent $100 on a Sears "DieHard" product.. Never again will I purchase anything with the "DieHard" name

I purchased this to carry around in my work truck a year ago and after charging it for the first time I put it in my truck tool box and have not moved it since. Temperatures have been from sub zero to the 100's over the last year while it has sat in the tool box. I recently needed to use it to start a vehicle and thought I would try it even though it has not been charged for over a year. WOW! It turned the vehicle right over and fired it up immediately. I expected it to groan like a depleated battery does but it performed as if I had just bought and charged it. The following day I utilized the air compressor to pump up a trailer tire and once again it performed flaulessly.

If I had to provide a negative thing I "could" comment on the overall weight. It is somewhat heavy due to all of the capabilities and apparent heavy-duty internal battery. ...

This is one hardy unit! I was going to buy just the basic battery jump start model, but after seeing the attributes of this baby, I could not resist. A power outage recently was no problem as this unit can help in a big way to get you some basic power, like a TV and some light. The heft of the unit tells you that it was designed to be used for a long time and the design is very friendly as the handle is soft touch. I told my neighbor and he bought one as did his relative. Two extra sales from my purchase! Sears does a great job with these as they do in all their battery & automotive products.

I have been very happy with this model as it's a good value for the money, particularly wen it's on sale. I have used it as a back-up power supply for when the electricity goes out, to power small tools on the go that need a 110V outlet, and to pump the bike and car tires. It's compact, easy sto store on a shelf, and connects to grounded AC via a standard heavy duty air conditioner extension cord. Keep in mind that you have to keep this unit charged - if you don't the battery will lose the base charge and will no longer charge fully! If that happens, look for a UB12220 battery on ebay or battery etailers such as Budgetbatteries-dot-com for replacements. When you consider that a replacement battery will run you $60 to $80, getting the extended warranty is a good idea....

This is a great alternative to purchasing a very expensive, heavy & gas guzzling generator for your tailgate. If you only need to power small items like an ipod, small speakers, small HD TV & maybe charge a cell phone then this is the device for you. It will get you through a 4 hour tailgate with power to spare although if you are using large watt electrical devices or plan on making this an all day event then you should make other plans. All in all this is a great device. The only drawbacks are the fact that this is somewhat heavy to lug around and it takes a long time to charge it out of the box. Other than that, this is a must have for your small tailgate.

I really like this jump starter, it jumps automobiles with very low batteries, has kept lights going in a blackout and pumped up many tires. It just works, and does what it is designed to do well. Love the 12 volt outlets and the 120volt inverter keeps the lights and or radio going as well. Love the included light. I bought mine with hesitation based on negative reviews, but I am going on two years use, the original battery is still going. Be sure to charge after use though, AGM batteries like that. The air compressor is slow to pump up a full sized tire, although this is quite an acceptable trade off to me. I often use this to top up tires and appreciate the accurate gauge on back. Newer 1150s have a USB charge port. I suggest for upgrades in the future applying LEDs for the front panel lights, although mine burn for a long time. I also would like to see a removable door for when the battery does need replaced. I recognize that these changes may add cost and really the item...

This is a tool that everyone should get! My power went out in Arlington Heights, IL for a week, and I used this for all of the little electric things. I was able to plug my alarm clock into it. I plugged my coffee machine into it, and eventually my hair-dryer. I used the light when I was in the shower. I was able to plug my cell phone into the car charger port on the front of it. I plugged my small lamp into it at night, so I could read. It lasted all week with only one recharge 4 days after the storm. I just brought it to work and plugged it in there. It can jump your car if you left the lights on, or if it needs a little boost. I have jumped a Chrysler mini-van will full accessories in it from almost a completely dead battery. When I go to pick up my lawn mower from my barn after winter, I bring it with to make sure it starts. I bring it with when I take my pontoon boat out of storage, just to give the battery a little boost after sitting over the winter. This portable power has never......
