I purchased this lamp for my toddler daughter's room. The design is great for little ones - the light bulb is encased in the globe which means little fingers/hands cannot mess with the bulb! There are no buttons or anything that my little one can interfere with which is also nice. The one switch is part of the cord which we have hidden behind her night stand which stops her turning it off/on which is also a plus. The lamp is small and is not really anything more than an accent lamp - it is not bright enough to read by. The images inside the lamp are just illustrations on a thin plastic sheet. When we received the lamp, the sheet was upside down which meant that the images projected on the wall were also upside down. Luckily, my husband was able to flip it over but it was somewhat difficult as the lamp itself does not disassemble - it slides out to allow light bulb changes only. Overall, this is a cute little lamp, and it will serve its purpose, but I think it was somewhat expensive for......

I bought this for my daughters bedroom for a nightlight. Well I wouldn't recommend it for that. Its a very bright light and I pretty much have to hide inside a self to absorb most of the light. It is otherwise I wonderful magical light and my daughter loves it....
