Donnie Brasco is a movie based on a true FBI infiltration into the "Mob". Brasco goes undercover and is invited to become a "made" man. Mob men become trustful of him and he starts to learn of individuals and circumstances of mob life.

Donnie Brasco has a wife and kid at home and the movie also portrays the difficulty of living in two worlds. This reminded me of Vets returning from war. How does a man kill on Wednesday and read Disney to his daughter on Friday ?

In the course of the movie Donnie develops a deep friendship with Al Pacino's character and worries for his safety and is torn when his infiltration position ends and men are prosecuted.

The movie ends with a battle worn FBI agent back with his family but whose emotions are still attached to mob men and the viewer is left hoping restoration will occur within a loving family, and of the sacrifice one man gave for peace.

Excellent.

i just love the movie. they chose great charaters for the movie. this movie kept me in suspense. i have recommended this movie to many people already.

I’m a real Johnny Depp fan. It seems that everything he does is excellent. His acting versatility is amazing and beyond reproach.

Johnny Depp, Al Pacino, Michael Madsen and crew are terrific in Donnie Brasco. Donnie Brasco is a movie based on a true story of FBI agent Joe Pistone. It's a very well done crime drama full of suspense and will keep you on the edge of your seat. Well worth the price of a DVD.

An excellent movie. This is one of Johnny Depp's finest performances, which says a lot. The two, true-to-life characters that Johnny Depp and Al Pacino portray are unforgetable, as is the story itself. You will find yourself thinking about it for weeks afterward, and wondering if you could ever live such a life as did Donny Brasco. Those undercover cops are one-of-a-kind. Highly recommended--never a dull moment....
