Oh, I wanted to love this vacuum. I paid extra for overnight shipping and paced around until it arrived. From the beginning, this was looking like a good purchase. Even though it's a refurbished unit, it came in excellent packaging and looked brand new. It's easy to put together and the manual wasn't that bad, like others had said. I started it up and it is nice and quiet (relative to other vacuums I've used). My toddlers didn't even mind being in the same room with it. I vacuumed one room and was impressed with the results. I wouldn't say that it was incredible by any means, but it did seem to pick up lots of small particulates and dust that I'd rather not have in my carpet. I went to another room to vacuum and when I pressed the power button, it wouldn't "click" and stay on. It got power, but I would have had to stand there and hold the button to keep it running. I messed with it for while and went to bed. Today I researched this issue on line and learned that SEVERAL other people have......

The Dyson DC14 is my best friend it makes my life and cleaning much more enjoyable. The one feature I love the most is the expandable wand. It is great for those hard to reach and high places. The suction power is outstanding, the best cleaner I've ever owned. I love that I can empty the dirt out each time I clean and it has the heppa filter....

There has never been a better vacuum than dyson! I have five kids and two dogs- who shed A LOT!! This vacuum sucks up everything! I never knew my carpet could be so clean until i owned a dyson! There is removable tubing if you get something stuck in it (pencils and pens are a favorite here!) Dyson also stands behind their products., I called them when my son accidently overstretched the extendable suction and forced a hole in there, The fedexed me the part for free!! I cannot say enough about dyson!!

This is a work horse! Goes from hard surfaces to carpet and is easy to use and clean! We love it! Would definitely buy again and recommend it to others.

this vaccum sure is sucking up like a clyclon! i live in a dirty house with my brother and he has two dogs well one isn't his but it lives here so that counts LOL ;) anyways we got this vaccum because our mother was visiting and she hates to see the sight of a diry floor. it really works real good and we wopuld by another one if we ever had to because its great but we won't havwe to by another one because it is a real good quality. if you want a clean floor like me and my brother you can buy one of these cylons for your floor!

When we bought our house 6 years ago we had an old canister vac from our apartment and needed an upgrade. We decided on this vacuum because we had a cat and didn't want the hair to collect throughout the house. I fell in love with this vacuum the first time I used it. it picked up every piece of hair and more. It is so worth the cost. Six years later and never had a problem with it (I use it everyday through 2 floors full of carpet). It's just over all a great product

It works really well, is small compact, super easy to use, and durable! this is definitely a great buy! I would definitely recommend this to anyone doing household chores! GREAT investment!

I bought this and thought I would give it a try. I fell in love with it! This cleans my whole house now and it sucks up everything. I have two dogs and if I would use my other machine and then use this it would look like i didnt clean my house at all. I am amazed at how much dirt and dog hair had been in my house but not anymore!

This is the best vaccum you could ever want. It has the power to clean up any kind of mess. Easy to use and makes your job so much easier. Even though it is higher priced than other brands, you will be glad you paid the extra money for this one

Love this vacumn. It has a lot of accessories to make life easier. I like the fact that there are no bags to buy and you can clean the filters easily. The only drawback is tha the hose is stiff and hard to use, even after being used for a while.

This is a wonderful vaccum. It picks up every little piece of dirt without losing any suction. It is however a liitle expensive but well worth it. I will never own any other brand of vaccum.

I was in desperate need of a GOOD vacuum. I go through about two a year. Dirt Devils, Hoovers, Bissells; you name it I have bought it. I have three kids in my house and they track in everything imaginable. I thought long and hard about this purchase. I surveyed my family to see what they thought and of course, they said $500 for a vacuum, you are NUTS! Well, it took about a year or so to get up the nerve to make the bold purchase. I was afraid to tell anyone. I brought it home and swore my sister to secrecy. It took about two minutes to put together. It was that easy! Trust me. This is coming from someone who is mechanically challenged. I vacuumed my little heart out. My sister had to fight me for a turn. The kids even vacuumed too! When I got the Dyson I was a little skeptical, but after I tried it I was suprised. I have a rug in a high traffic area and before I used the Dyson on it I used my old vacuum on it until it was clean. Then I went over it with the Dyson and it still pulled up more sand and dirt, at least a half inch or more was in the bottom of the canister. I was shocked to find out how much dirt my old vacuum had left behind. This is a great product. It works great and is easy to use....

I just purchased this "awesome" vaccum cleaner as a gift to myself on June 11/07. I have been using an electrolux for many years and always thought it was the best thing since sliced bread. I have a small dog which does not shed but also have a cat & as you know they shed allot. I had vaccumed my carpets on June 10/07 with the electrolux & have been contemplating about purchasing the Dyson for about 1 1/2 months. So needless to say I did buy it & started vaccuming shortly after we put it together. Well, it was about 8:30 p.m. when I tackled the living room with my new piece of equipment & I was "totally amazed" at the amount of dust/fur that was sucked up in the container. I was like a kid with a new toy or, a man with a new tool & found it a joy actually to go over the carpets once again. It is a little tricky to figure out though how to remove the wand etc. but, once you master that you can vaccum till your heart is content. I do not find it awkward or, heavy to move around the carpets/floors......
