LordHumongous says "It Doesn't Suck" about Dyson DC25 vacuum

This thing is amazing!

I have wanted a Dyson ever since they first came out, but when I went to a store to look at them, it was so heavy I would need one for each level of my house and not enough closet space to store them.

This is under 12 pounds, fits easily in a closet, and is so light it's very easy to carry up stairs. I'll admit I'm not a fan of cleaning but being a female engineer I certainly appreciate well-designed products. This one has many clever features. The cleaning head is low-profile, so it easily hugs floor boards under kitchen cabinets (huge plus!). The ball design is incredibly inventive and so easy to use. It's like the difference hauling a suitcase around that has weels that go in only one direction vs. the new ones with pivot wheels - makes SO much sense and doesn't hurt my back to use it.

Cleaning power is great! It isn't especially labelled for pet hair cleanup, but does a great job. I cleaned once with my old vaccuum, then filled this Dyson up with a 2nd run through....
...

TBoehm says "Cleans the stubborn dog hair well" about Dyson DC25 vacuum

I have had this vacume for over 2 years and it works very well. I have had up to 3 dogs that shed at one time (now down to two) and it has worked so well on picking up their hair. I did not go with the purple Dyson at the time because I could not afford to spend the extra $100 for the extra attachments. I do not like how the trap is messy, I have to go out on my porch to empty it or I have a mess. Also it is heavy and you have to have muscles to use it on the stairs because the floor tools do not do as good a job either. I do like the manueverability that the ball gives it. I do not think I would recommend this to a friend
...

jelynn22 says "The Dyson DC25 made me realize vacuuming can be simple and fun!" about Dyson DC25 vacuum

After years of cheap, basic vacuums that required annoying bags and filters, it was time to find a more efficient and less demanding cleaning tool. The Dyson DC25 is that answer --

Lightweight, making it easy to move throughout each level of the house

Ball design eliminates hard-to-reach corners and seamlessly pivots around furniture

Extendible arm makes it possible to leave the vacuum at the bottom of the steps, and vacuum each step without having to struggle moving the vaccuum

Bagless container allows you to empty waste into your home trash can with a click of a button

ohtekrunr15 says "Okay, Okay, I bought into the Dyson hype, but its good." about Dyson DC25 vacuum

Yes, I bought my Dyson DC25 Ball vac due to the hype, and actually a friend's recommendation. However, I have been very happy with it, and we have been using it for almost 4 months now several times a week.

We have 4 active kids, and so there is no shortage of dirt, dust, mudd, leaves, etc. entering the home. I used to have a graveyard for vacs in my basement. I have been able to pitch all of them and finally they are at peace and so are we.

The canister is a good size as is the overall machine. Like that the canister is clear so that you can always tell when its full or hasn't been emptied. You do need to empty it regularly, and you should check the filters. Word on the Internet is the vac will lose suction over time if the various filters are not maintained properly. This is not a problem. Good easy access, easy to empty or rinse, and replace.

Previous vacs had bags or canisters also with filters. My family killed them all as I was the only one whom would take the time...
...

I bought the Dyson DC25 Animal for my mom's birthday and although I don't normally willingly drop $500 for a vacuum cleaner, I gotta say that this is no ordinary vacuum cleaner. It's super ergonomic: the ball on the bottom of the vacuum allows you to turn corners easily. The expandable want nicely fits in the handle. And it looks cool too!...

Although the vacumn is a little pricy for some, this is the best investment to make. The vacumn is easy to use and easy to clean. I love the fact that the filter can be rinsed and there are no messy bags to replace....

I owned two kirby's before i got my dyson and dyson is not expensive considering what your getting and comparing it to the door to door sales people with there Kirby's etc. You can see what a job it does by the dirt in the canister. I'm amazed by all the dirty in a house with only two people.

I realize it might be a bit heavy with the ball but the ball works just like power steering on your auto. The hose is a little unhandy but still better than dragging along all the attachments you need to get the job done.
...
