I have had my Element 26 inch television since october of 2009. I have used it on a continual basis in my dorm room for several hours a day (give or take a few days). The basic cable signal is not as clear as I would like but it's not in HD so I guess that's to be expected. One thing that bother's me is how the brightness changes depending on whether you above the television or below it. I have a hard time laying on my bed and watching it because everything becomes very dark. I have also recently started having problems with the sound. The background music crackles and sounds like its coming from a tin can. I will be taking it in to hopefully have it fixed soon. Basically, I wouldn't recommend this television to anyone who plans on using it every day.
...

I am peeved because wrote this review once, and when I tried to post it, it apparently got deleted. Here'e attempt #2:

First, the caveats: I've only owned this TV for a little over one month, so it's hard to comment on what the previous two reviewers, who've owned their's longer, said. Also, I have the larger, 32" version, which seems to have the same appearance and specs. It's a testament to the fact that this technology and these products are constantly changing, that I couldn't find the 32" model on this site.

So far, we've been thrilled with the performance of this TV. It's wonderful. As far as being a "disposable TV," I can only say, "Welcome to the 21st century." I've heard the same thing said about the huge, 52" models that cost a couple grand. That's the point. If like me, you buy mostly based on budget, I don't think you can beat it. Sears sold us ours for $280. I constantly skim the ads, and I haven't seen that price matched for a similar, 32" LCD flat screen ANYWHERE. I don't...
...

We've had our 26" Element TV now for a year and it's been great. Great picture, great sound, easy to use, and we paid an awesome sales prices for it during Sears Thanksgiving Day sale in '08! One caveat though - since it's not used a lot, I can't say how it would perform after a year of daily viewing. But for a guest room or for a vacation home where the TV is played for several weeks several times a year, it was a great deal, and if Sears should repeat the fantastic sale price on this TV that we bought ours for last year, I'll be buying another for an upstairs bedroom.
...
