I just bought this "essential home 16 in. oscilating fan" and I love it. I works the way every other fan does!!!! LOL. You cant go wrong. Only thing I would change on it, is the height adjustments available on it. Doesn't go very high or low

Need a fan at home? Look no further, this fan is all just about anybody needs.

This fan has been providing us with plenty of comfortable airflow for the last couple years. Three speeds, adjustable height, and quiet operation. It was simple to assemble (I actually followed the instructions). And, Its head oscillates, so it covers the whole room rather than just creating one comfortable spot in the room.

I'd definitely recommend this fan to anyone looking for a stand fan for just about any size room.

The base had screws preinstalled that needed to be removed for the setup. One of the screws would not budge, even with the drill. The fan will not stand properly if I set it up without removing that screw. In the process of attempting to remove the screw, the base bent. Now the fan will not stand properly at all....

I ordered this fan online for store pick up for my elderly mother. When I went to the s tore to pick it up I was told there was no more in stock. they told me that often the online information does not match the "actual stock" situation. I urged them to take another look. The stock clerk brought up f rom the back of the stockroom a battered, beat-up looking box that was taped together with packing tape. I decided to take it as she really needed a fan immediately. I pulled out all the parts to make sure nothing was missing. The base of the stand was missing 3 small screws, but someone must have found a base from another fan and stuck that in there. I cobbled together the mismatched pieces and got the fan assembled and running. It works well, and solved the problem. the problem was not with the actual fan, but the miscommunication between Sears' online sales and their actual stores. I won't shop that way again at Sears...very disappointing...

Compared to one I bought last year, this one had cheaper construction for a slightly higher price. The extension bar slipped and the locking collar was very difficult to tighten. Also, the amount of air moved by the fan seems less....
