We bought this to replace our 10 year old Frigidaire front-loader. I love the many cycle options, a new feature to us. The tub has a nice big capacity which cuts down on how frequently we have to do laundry, and the machine works great.
Overall it makes doing laundry more pleasant....

AndrewM says "Frigidaire won't spin-dry" about Frigidaire 3.5 cu. ft. I.E.C. King Size Capacity ENERGY STAR Washer

This machine looks great, is quiet, and doesn't use much water or detergent. It washes just fine.
HOWEVER, it only spin-dries about 60% of the time. The rest of the time it just tumbles the (very wet) clothes for 15 minutes or so and then stops. Warranty service cannot help - they say there's nothing wrong. But it STILL doesn't work!
You have been warned!...

RJAA says "Very Satisfied with Washer" about Frigidaire 3.5 cu. ft. I.E.C. King Size Capacity ENERGY STAR Washer

I bought this washer because Consumer Reports listed it as a "Best Buy"--an excellent product for much less than most front loaders. I am very satisfied with the cleaning it does, the cycles range from 20-50 minutes, and best of all, I can add a forgotten item. Easy to operate, VERY quiet, doesn't shake. I have both the washer and dryer on pedestals and though I think the pedestals are overpriced, I like the extra storage area and the height they add so I don't have to stoop to get laundry in and out. One thing I discovered was that lighter items might stick to the top of the washer, so I have to look in to make sure I'm not leaving something stuck to the top--which eventually will fall down as it dries in there. The 3.5 size is fine for my husband and me who are empty nesters, but I think if I still had a family living at home I would buy a bigger washer. I most definitely would recommend this set to our friends....

kidsndog says "BEST WASHER EVER!!!" about Frigidaire 3.5 cu. ft. I.E.C. King Size Capacity ENERGY STAR Washer

We started with a Bosch, cleaned great but shook the whole house. I had to yank and slam the door to open and the done alarm was so loud and didn't stop for 20 min. I cna't handle being nagged! Uses so little water that it didn't get rid of the dog hair, it just stuck to the window for the next load. Then we got a Fishel Pakel top load, terrible, to get around the new energy requirements it doesn't wash in hot even though it has a hot option. We then swapped it out for the frigidaire, get this model because more $ ones have fewer features. The door is light, alarm is soft, clothes are amazingly clean and unlike most frontloaders with 2-3 hour cycle times, this one finishes in 45 min and my house doesn't shake!!! I can not say enough good things about this washer my husband and I love it!!...
