This washer was our big tax check purchase. I've was trying to figure out the best bang for our buck on spending the tax money and I think I did a good job. Our electric bills have gone down because of this washer. ( we have a well and we pay to have the water pulled from the ground, softened, heated and then wash the clothes) At 35 gal of water for a top load washer, this 10 gal washer makes a good sized dent in our electric bill. I calculated our average monthly savings was about $20 a month. I am washing everything at home on a regular basis now, too. I used to have to take the comforter to the laundry mat and I only got around to doing that 3 times a year. Now it gets washed every month. I can wash the dog beds whenever they get to smelling "doggie", not when I have time to take them into town to be cleaned. Since this washer has the "maximum" spin setting, my dry time has gone way down. I can dry most loads in 35 minutes compared to the 65 with the old top load washer we had.

We purchased the Affininty washer when our front load Neptune finally gave out. I really enjoy the front load and control panel. Clothes seem to come out cleaner than the Neptune and practically dry. This washer has worked well with the many delicate clothes our teen age daughter has. Only thing I regret is we did not purchase pedestals when sales clerk recommended (will be future purchase) because the unit is much lower than Neptune, so lots of bending.
...

This washer is a good washer does leave bulky things wet even with the extra spin , also leaves jeans wet if there is more than one pair in the load. Kind of a noisy washer has a lot of power to the spin so you may feel some vibration if not in the basement . Little things such as baby socks can get stuck in the rubber part of the door and make the washer freeze so you have to keep checking on it . Other than that no complaints a good buy for the money
...

This washer is 20X better than my old top-loader. It has so many options whether I want a quick light wash for my daughter's clothes or a long heavy-duty sanitizing wash for my husbands heavily stained work clothes. I have to admit I was skeptical when I turned it on for the first time and the clothes just swished gently one way before they started to gently swish the other way back and forth ..nothing like the loud actively agitating movements of my old washer which really sounded like workhorse compared to this thing. But everything came out noticeably cleaner ..in fact I've never seen my husband's grungy work clothes so clean since I bought them new! I had maxed out all the settings and that load washed for almost 2 hours but they came out perfect something I had long since given up on after trying multiple wash cycles with my old machine I was pacified with his clothes at least smelling clean but now they actually LOOK clean too! I stacked the units and have so much more...
...

Bought this several months back from Sears, and we're very happy with it. It's quiet, efficient, and the clothes seem to come out drier, too. They don't usually display this model at stores, but you can still order it there. Judging by the other reviews at Sears.com, satisfied customers are the norm with this unit. The cost was very good for a high-efficiency unit, as they had a solid sale and a rebate....

This is my first front loading washing machine and I have learned to use it. There are a lot of differences between these and top loaders and once you have learned these, it should run smoothy for you. I have learned that if I am washing something like cloth diapers (something heavily soiled), I use the extra rinse setting. Regularly clean the glass door and rubber filter inside the door. I have hard water and I have to clean the detergant drawer every so often and that is easily done. I also like all the settings: hand wash, light to heavy soil, extra rinse....
We just had no choice in the matter when buying a new washer, we wanted an energy efficient one and this was the best one for it's price!
...

chefguy56 says "Best washer ever by Frigidaire" about Frigidaire Washer - Affinity Front Load

I love my new washer, it is a front loader from Frigidaire. My clothes have never been cleaner. It is also energy efficient and uses much less water than the top loading type of washer. I can do double the amount of clothes per load in this washer saving me a lot of time. The cycle selections are wonderfull, with temperature, amount of spin drying time and even a delay wash cycle. It is well worth the money I paid for it....
