I gave one as a wedding gift and the other as a "new home" house -warming gift. I had expected to pay at least $20-30 each and was EXTREMELY happy that I purchased BOTH for less than I expected to pay for one.

Has a "warm" feature, which is great to have, and it is oval, so you can roast a whole chicken in it, unlike the tall, round ones. Price was excellent, and ship-to-store was free...however...when we picked this up, the outside product box was crushed. We checked the cooker and it was packed and was fine, but giving this as a gift was embarrassing. As for the size, it's about right for a family of 4. I would not go any smaller myself.

But the one I receieved from Sears had it's handle cracked and soon broke off when I took it out of the box. I'd replace it but for $11 and the only sears 20 miles away has it; it's not worth the gas money.

Function wise, it works fine. Had no problems with it.

The Hamilton Beach 4 qt. oval slow cooker with three settings.....high, low, and warm, is a good basic model. Easy to use and easy to clean. The only drawback I found is that the removable ceramic pot gets hot to the touch.

My husband and I needed a slightly larger crockpot and Sears had a great deal on this 4 quart cooker. It works like a charm, on both the LOW and HIGH settings. I used a crockpot bag in it once and that worked great too. We have used it for stew, soup and chili. I have no complaints. The lid and crock are dishwasher safe.

I am happy with my purchase, mostly because I got such a good price. This slow cooker is the perfect size. It's not too big and yet it's not too small. It stores easily and I like that the crock part is able to be taken out of the heating base to be washed. I am a bit disappointed in that I feel it warms up a little slower than I would like. It does eventually get hot...and does the job it is supposed to do. I also like the fact that it has three settings to choose from. The warm setting works well for just what it implies.

This crock pot came packed extremely well in the box and nothing was broken or out of place. It was in stock and able to be picked up the next day after I place my order.

This is my first Hamilton Beach kitchen appliance purchase and overall, I am pleased. I would certainly consider buying another Hamilton Beach product in the future given the positive experience I've had with this slow cooker.

I have been extremely pleased with my Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker. It's large enough for a

large roast or chicken with vegetables. It's great when I get home from work, and smell the

delicious food coming from the kitchen-since the slow cooker has been working all day too. There

have been absolutely no problems to deal with, and it looks very sharp sitting on the counter.

The price is very affordable. An indicator light would be a nice feature.

I've had good success in using this slow-cooker. The features I like:
*The glass lid makes it easy to see how the food is doing without letting the heat escape.
*The crock itself is a nice black color and is easy to keep in the fridge if you want to prepare ingredients the night before or keep leftovers in the same pot.
*The keep warm setting is great for serving food, especially at a party
*The outside is a nice looking brushed silver
I've used this pot when I'm away from home and haven't had any problems. I always follow a recipe's directions for the length of time to cook my meals, and I haven't had any problems with burning. I've had it for 5 years now and it is still going strong.
My only complaint is that the rubber ring used to keep the lid on when traveling broke after three uses, which was too bad, because it was a nice feature. However, it's not something I use very often, so I consider this a minor drawback.

This is a very attractive but very basic cooker. What I mean by that is it has nothing digital on it, no timer, no temperature gauge not even a power light "which would have been nice". It has a hand knob with off, warm, low and high on it, nice and simple. It has a heavy crock that fits inside and an attractive glass cover. It also has a very attractive silver and black exterior. It does not take up very much room on our counter top, just a little more than a loaf of bread. In fact that is what we store in it when it's not in use.

This oval cooker will hold a larger piece of meat in it as apposed to a round one of a comparable size. It really does not have to be watched when cooking. The heat comes from around the sides instead of the bottem, so nothing to burn on the bottem. Meat comes out more tender by cooking it on low for a longer period of time, as apposed to cooking on high for a shorter time. I love pot roast, that is one of the main reasons I go it. I have had a few slow cookers in my time, but this is the best design with features I count on when I am having a busy day. Just knowing I can set it, forget it and come home to a nutritious family meal means it all for my family! Hamilton Beach is the best!

Being able to remove the inside helps a lot, it's very easy to clean. Great for the price I got it for. Only issue is that it doesn't have a timer....
