I had the Hamilton Beach Brewstation Plus for years before it went out and loved it. When I went to replace it I saw this one and thought I'd spend the extra money and get the Deluxe instead. Now I regret it, this coffee maker is not as good as the Plus, the heating element is right in the middle of where you have to pour the water in to make the coffee and pouring the water in is frustrating, if your not careful you end up spilling water on the counter or getting it all over the element. Water also leaks from the thing so you end up getting coffee on your counters too. You won't need a nightlight in the kitchen because the display is very bright, I am sure that probably eats up some power. I think the way this one is set up makes it not so user friendly, the Plus model was so easy to set up and use, this one is not. Save yourself some money and go down a model to the Brewstation Plus instead.
...

I must have owned a hundred coffeemakers in my lifetime. Do you want to know how many glass carafe's I've scraped baked coffee out of? or how many cups I've poured out because they became too strong and bitter after an hour or two? Can you guess the number of dropped (broken) carafes???

Want to know how much I look froward to making my coffee in the morning while half asleep ... or better yet, skipped coffee when getting up late amd in too much hurry to make a pot?

This Brewstation "Deluxe" has ALL the bases covered. I had discovered Brewstation at great prices, so I said "what is the difference?" I tried 2 alternate models but the savings meant missed features ... believe me - it is worth the extra $ and effort to find the Brew Station "Deluxe", it just covers ALL the bases.

Now I am about to buy my third Brewstation, and I won't settle for anything but BrewStation "Deluxe". Downside on the first one, after about a year or so the electronics failed. (thats when I tried the cheaper...
...

This was a Father's Day Gift I ordered and had sent to my father-in-law! It quit working the first day! He took it down to Sears to exchange. The manager had to get involved - they would not take it back, of absolutely no help whatsoever. They did not have one to exchange. VERY bad experience for my father-in-law! Now HE has to call in to get a UPS shipping label to send it back himself. I find this VERY poor customer service! I feel like Sears should ship him a new one and credit me for the defective one!...

This coffee maker makes great coffee and is very simple to use. You get 4 brewing options. The Flavor plus option will make really strong coffee when used with non-flavored coffee. You can even make iced coffee!!! I would buy again!...

The coffee maker looks great and we bought it for the convenience of dispensing one cup at a time to our clients. It took a while to figure out how to use it however. Since I had never used a coffee maker that dispensed one cup at a time, I was not familiar with it and it took me several trys to figure out how to brew the coffee. Now that I have it figured out, it works great. I like the water filter feature as our water does not taste very good unless it is filtered....

I have to admit I love this coffemaker! It has a water filter that you have to replace but that makes for a start to a great tasting cup of coffee. The added convenience of not having a carafe to break (which I have) is an added bonus. I think the coffee tastes much better than with any other coffee maker I've had in the past...and I have had many coffeemakers. Overall I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this coffeemaker just for the great tasting cup of coffee alone....

I purchased this item because my Cuisinart past away. Istead of repurchasing another, I went to find something cheaper and a little more easier to use. I DO NOT LIKE THIS type of coffee maker. I don't know if it's because of the way the coffee sits in the "plastic" carafe after brewing or if its the way the coffee ground filter sits directly over the coffee after brewing? Plus there is a metal heating element directly in with your coffee. The grounds that do come through the coffeemaker burn to the heating element on the bottom, maybe some like this, but it's just not appealing to me when I get to the last drop.... It's hard to explain, but it's just not a tasty cup of coffee anymore....It gets kind of muddy & murky looking as you get to the last couple cups. I am going back to Cuisinart!...
