The tree itself is a fairly standard atrificial tree. Nothing special.

However, the lights are really annoying. If you want huge, super bright lights flashing in siezure-inducing patterns, this may be the tree for you. However, if you would like a tree where you can actually controll the lights, this is not it.

Not only do the lights reset every time the power is cycled (as indicated in other reviews), and not only does the pattern speed control have little effect, in our second season with this tree, the controller inputs failed in their entirety. Our tree is prepetually stuck on a rapidly changing rapidly flashing pattern that is extremely distracting. Pressing buttons and turning knobs has no effect.

If you need a christmas tree as a store display to call attention to itself, this may be the tree for you. If you want a tree as a decoration in your living room, this tree is pretty awful.

Very full shaped tree. LOTS of lights (almost more than I care for). Base folds for storage and seems a bit flimsy (thin metal construction). You cannot control the speed of rotation. But you can bypass the rotating base and plug an extension cord into the tree controller if you don't want it to spin. You can select from 11 different settings, but only after you turn it on. So if you have it on a timer, it always reverts to the default setting - which is a combination of all 10 lighting patterns (white lights are on their own circuit as are the multi-colors). So it you like the "Las Vegas" neon look for Christmas, this won't bother you. Supposedly the "speed control" knob gives you control over how fast the lights blink, fade, etc - but it has little effect. For me, it still moves too rapidly through it's programming.

All of these minor things I could forgive and live with . . if it would just all work! One string of lights did not work out of the box. I called the 1-800 number and a...

I saw this tree at Sears and I just had to have it the moment I saw it. For one the led lights blink. There was purple lights on it. It spins which is awesome. I was worried I would not be able to put more lights on it since is spins, but you can plug them into the other lights. I waited for black Friday and got it half the regular price, which I would of paid full price for it, its that awesome. It was ready the next day for pickup at my sears. It would of been ready when I bought it but it was late at night. I hope to have this tree forever. Good job on this one:)

This tree is beautiful. The various light "themes" give it great versatility. I can have colored lights or just white...or both! Make sure you watch the video to see what I'm talking about.

I was concerned at first about it constantly rotating. The rotating tree is nice, but I would get tired of this after awhile. We figured out a way to get around this... There is a plug from the base to the control box. The base plugs into the power outlet. If you unplug the base from the control box and plug the control box directly to the power outlet you bypass the rotating base. Problem solved! Be careful of the wires hanging down when it does rotate.

For the person whose tree would not rotate...do you have the eye screws tightened at the base?

I was shopping online on Black Friday and came across this Christmas Tree. I was fully intended to get the GE tree and this one was on sale. Since this is a Sears brand, I was little sketical. After viewing the video and other reviews, I took a chance and order one without seeing it in person. It was available for pick up the same day from my local Sears and Sears merchandise pickup was very helpful. When I unpack the christmas tree and set it up in front of my 3 years old daughter, her eyes lit up and a big smile on her face. The different light pattern really make this tree different than the other one. I highly recommended this tree. As other reviews said, you can stop the rotation by connecting an extension cord directly to the light set.

I always wanted a rotating tree so this tree is perfect. I did think the rotating could be turned off though but it can't unless you bypass the tree stand and plug the lights into an extension cord. I would rather if the control box kept the setting instead of having to adjust it each time it is plugged in. Other then those two complaints, I am really happy with it. We just moved into a new home and I thought this tree would be perfect with the new LED lights and it is. I love the fact that the LED lights have more colors then the traditiona; christmas light sets and they stay very cool. It is a very unique tree. I bought a lighted star for the top but it really doesn't need a lighted top because lights are on the very top so I think an unlighted tree top will look better. I expected it to be harder to assemble but it was actually very easy.

This is the 1st time I have ever gotten an artifical tree and I have to say I am very impressed. The tree is beautiful. It looks like something you would see at Disneyland with all the colorful lights. I only have one issue. When I turn the lights on, the very top of the tree (section A) lights are backwards on some of the setting For example if I have it set for the white lights to flash the top still flashes in color and the rest of the tree is white. There are so many other setting that you cant tell on so I just use those settings. I am figuring somehow the wires got crossed when the tree was made? Still a very beautiful tree. Simple to put together. My kids love it!

I was a little concerned about purple bulbs not looking right, but it looks so luxurious with all those colors and the large LED lights. The ability to only have multi color lights or only bright white is fun. I like the default setting and think I will use it the most, but setting #4 is also nice. It is so beautiful that it really doesn't need decorations, but I will decorate so it will also be pretty when the lights are off. It has plenty of tips. The tip on how to stop the turning may also prove useful. For now I am enjoying the turning - when I put the garland on - that will be so much easier with the tree turning. I'm planning to slow it down as slow as it will go....

This tree is really beautiful, the color displays are ince with 1 I really love. The only drawbacks are 2, 1, no book on the different display settings, 2,, no spare bulb in case something stupid happens. Other than this I would say that this tree is fantastic.

If you want to stop the rotation, use an extension cord and plug the tree in to that, and not the base. We had some bulbs out as soon as we got it all set up. Of course, the spares that came with it are white and red. The colors burnt out? Blue and green, of course. We will be contacting the company about getting some replacements since we JUST bought the tree. Our main problem is that if we select one of the 11 light patterns, it does not stay on that selection when the tree is turned back on later. We have to keep re-selecting every time we turn it on.

This is a beautiful tree. I just bought it today and have it set up. It is not decorated but doesn't really need anything because the lights are beautiful. The only thing I wish is that it did not have to rotate all the time.
