I would not recommend this one to anyone. It started leaking internally, not from any hose connections. It now leaks so bad, I don't have enough buckets. The water flows from the very bottom everytime water goes down the drain. It works like a sieve.

I purchased the Kenmore 3/4hp disposer to replace the Badger 1/2hp disposer and notice how much more powerful right away. This unit was very easy to install and works great! This is a nice addition to any sink.

Easy installation. Plenty of power for household use. Stainless steel grinders should hold up better than the galvanized steel of other models.

I was living with a broken dishwasher for about a year. While it was a pain, it was nothing compared to when the disposal broke!!!! I'm so glad I got this 3/4 hp disposal - kitchen life is so much better without stinky and soggy garbage.

Bought the unit and it was at a good price.

Bought it from Sears so I figured it was quality for the price.

Installed it and it leaked from where the disposal meets the lower flange.

No leaks at the sink flange or anywhere else.

Uninstalled and reinstalled and still leaks under pressure. Under pressure is when you put the stopper in the sink hole and fill the sink with water.

Also stopper did not seal correctly.

Called support and to make a long story short they said they would exchange it or I could return it or schedule a repair call earliest date 8 days from that day I called.

Told me if they came out and it was an installation error I would be charged for the repair call.

It was not an install error none the less was not going to wait 8 days or chance them saying I installed it incorrectly or exchange it for another with the same problem.Too much work for all that.

Returned the unit got my money back and went to ***** and bought an insinkerator.

Great price, easy to install. This unit is much quieter than my old one!!! I had to buy a cord and wire it to the disposal, but Sears sells it and its easy to do. I would recommed!!!

I recently purchased the Kenmore 3/4 hp Food Waste Disposer. My previous disposal stop working. I was told that over time the waste line or trap get coated and eventually becomes obstructed with food waste. Not all food waste is created equal.Not putting enough water down the disposal when it's grinding is a sure way to get a clog. Over time the lack of flushing water does not carry the waste material fully through the drainage system and it builds up in the drain lines. Grinding egg shells or coffee grounds will create very tiny granular waste that will stick to any sludge in the pipe and quickly create a clog.

Grinding Potato Peels
Potato peels are notorious clog makers. Once ground up they form a starchy paste similar to mashed potatoes and quickly clog the drain.Grinding Banana Peels have a similar problem to potato peels except they also add stringy fibers to the mix.

I am really happy with my purchase of the Kenmore 3/4hp Food Waste Disposal! I had to replace a 7 year old unit that was used numerous times a day, every day because of a leak and this unit was priced well, was the size I needed and very easy to install after taking out the old unit. Didn't realize how dull and inefficient our other one had become. Would highly recommend for every day household use.

It was time to replace an older faulty unit and this one stood out as the most bang for the buck. The price simply couldn't be beat in terms of warranty, power and brand name. Installation was easy for a first time installer after looking at a couple of helpful how-to videos online.

The only thing needed that wasn't included in the box (besides tools) was a small amount of plumbers putty to go around the sink ring. Directions specify it for that area of installation only and it doesn't take much. Unfortunately, Sears didn't carry the plumbers putty in store.

I checked out other sink waste disposers at a major home improvment store and found the Kenmore 3/4 horse was priced comparable to their 1/2 hp model. The Kenmore also has stainless steel grinders and upper outer shell where the others didn't. It also came with a five year waranty, longer than the others for that price. I'm glad I checked other disposers, I like to get my money's worth along with quality. I installed it on my own in no time and I'm not a pro just handy, but it would have been a little easier to have another hand to help. Only con is it's a standard noise disposer, but the extra cost of the supper quiet ones was not worth the difference to me.

The machine works like a dream, while the noise is a little bit much at first, our previous machine was a little bit louder. The setup was the real challenge on out end, requiring hours of work which again was mostly due to the different setup the machine we used at our house had. We have no real experience in handling such products so we're not familiar in the way the systems are supposed to be, however the directions made the process as easy as possible and even helped us to take out the previous food processor.

Two weeks after installing the product we are happy with the improvement over out previous system, and in how powerful its food grinding are, its major improvement over our old system is in its constant hydration, meaning that we dont need to turn on the machine for the water to drain out of the sink, a flaw which was a huge bother before.

While not as powerful and quiet as other systems out there this one works as well, and takes care of our all food processing needs at a much...

The Kenmore 3/4 hp disposer does a good job doing what it's suppose to do. It was more powerful than I thought it was going to be. So far I haven't had any problems grinding anything in it. It was also easier to install than I thought it was going to be. The only thing is that I wished it was a little more quiet than it is. But for the price and the quality you can't go wrong!

I love kenmore products and I think they are one of the best in the market but with this one , very dissapointing. I would have rate this as 1 star if I did not like it during its first year in my house. I bought this about 3 years ago, didn't have a complain for my first year coz I really didn't use it alot, but since my father inlaw is been living with us for about a year now (he's obsessed about washing anything and everything with the water in full blasts) that's when I start having problem with the product. This disposer started to leaked, it was so bad the bottom of my basin rotted without us knowing it. We just found out after resetting it. We got someone to fixed it, he said it won't happen again and he is right,NOT! after a few weeks it started rattling so bad it loosen up the pipe that's connecting it from the drain, it flooded my kitchen. Then call them again said wont happen again, NOT! it started to leak again, just got tired of calling them and arguing with them so I just...

My husband and I swapped out this disposer for an old one. We did not have much trouble; just that our plumbing didn't match up with the unit so we had to go get a flexible pipe from the hardware store. It's a little heavier than I expected when holding it to adjust the fittings, but it's a great machine.

It's quiet, nothing leaks, and it wasn't that difficult to do. We did take longer than the girl who said she did it in 20 minutes, but it doesn't matter. We saved a chunk of money doing ourselves.
