I am a single bachelor and outgrew my side by side freezer. Before I had trouble freezing things that required them being placed on a flat surface, such as liquids in a freezer bag. This freezer is small enough to fit anywhere yet wide enough on the inside to put a cookie sheet in it, which lets me freeze my liquids on the cookie sheet. The black color is the sharpest part of the freezer and looks a lot better than the white in my opinion. The freezer is small enough to fit in my utility room along with my washer and dryer and I still have room. The sound of the temperature alarm could sound a little better than it does. It reminds me of and old ooga horn, I was expecting a digital beeping. It is definetely annoying enough and distinct enough that you will recognize it and know what it is.... I needed more space with my chest freezer so I decided to purchase another one from sears considering my last one lasted over 17 years. Upon me receiving this freezer I was so surprised that it came in the color of black and not just white. My living room is black which made my freezer blend in just perfect. Not only was the color perfect but the space capacity was extremely huge and it only took a matter of minutes for me to plug it in and the ice was already on the inside of the freezer. My daughter accidentally unplugged the freezer to use the outlet and forgot to plug it back in when it went below the set temperture a loud alarm went off we didnt know what the noise was until we went over to the freezer and it was the alarm on there indicating that the freezer was unplugged and in a dangerous mode of defrosting how neat was that.
