We purchased this microrange about two years ago. In this time, the touchscreen display has "wigged" out twice, the first time it reset itself after I unlpugged the unit and plugged it back in. The exhuast fan is WEAK (read the cfm compared to other units). While the unit did cook well, I still think my last microwave, a Panasonic at about half the price, cooked just as well if not better. Today I am shopping for another unit as this one just broke (the microwave part will not heat). I would definitely NOT recmommnend this unit, as I am sure there are better choices....

I love the look of this microwave and after two years of use, it's going strong BUT, and this is a HUGE BUT, the venting fan is so weak as to be completely useless. The amount of smoke/steam being drawn into the exhaust vents is practically imperceptible.

So, I end up frying onions, sauteeing chicken and making eggs on a hotplate outside....

We bought our new house about 13 months ago and were extremely please with the appliances. Unfortunatly, the microwave made a fool of us. One month after the 1-year warranty expired the LCD went out. Now I'm faced with either repair fees or repurchase fees. I'll never buy another Kenmore appliance again....

The microwave/oven worked great...for about a year and a half and then if stopped working altogether. The Sears serviceman said it could not be repaired due to bad "cards". For such an expensive oven, you would think it would be more durable....

I purchased this microwave 1 1/2 years ago. My husband and I were very pleased until approximately 1 1/2 months ago when the LCD screen started to go. Now, it is completely blank and the microwave is rendered useless. I received a repair quote today........$450 (which includes labor) if the problem is strictly LCD or $750 for both LCD components! I was shocked to say the least! This microwave is only 6 months out of the one year warranty period and the LCD is shot. One would only hope that by purchasing a $760 microwave that it would last for at least 5+ years, and not one year and six months. We, unfortunately did not purchase the extended warranty on this product and are now paying the price. After some research, I have found that the LCD has caused problems for others. I only wish we had been warned of the sensitivity of these microwaves prior to throwing away $760.00....

This is a great microwave - it looks great and cooks evenly. It has a sensor so there is no more guessing on cooking time and power. Everthing comes out perfect and reheated items appear freshly prepared! Amazing! At first it was strange to "dial" in my categories and directions; however I now prefer the dial and the different screens that appear. I can choose to reheat, defrost or cook plates, beverages, casseroles, etc. You can even choose how bright your light requirements are and the level of the fan venting. Another plus is the rotating and side-to-side movement of the platform, allowing even heat distribution in an all stainless interior. One word description: Superb! This is the best value for the $$, especially when I purchased mine during Sears special discount days!...
