Since using this new Kenmore Elite I'm very disappointed in the panel. My last oven had a much more friendly program for quick heating items with an 30 second add on. Also, it had l,2,3, up to six instand buttons for quick cooking. Just hit the number and it would start the machine and cook for that length of time. This machine isn't user friendly at all. I haven't had an issue with the tray like most others have written about, guess I'm fortunate on that issue. I wouldn't purchase this again. As for the cooking, heat things mostly, good for popcorn but again its special button doesn't pop the entire bag, but most ovens don't. Didn't think the panel would be such a big issue and purchased without seeing it in the store, they didn't have it in stock, would not do that again.

Bought this with my new kitchen appliances after a kitchen remodel. Bought it as like the look, option and what not when I saw it in the store. Got a bit worried after reading some of the reviews here but have been extremely happy in the three months I have been using it. Seems well constructed and is easy to operate....

This microhood added the perfect, final touch to my kitchen remodel. It looks great and works perfect! Had the same issue some others are having with the turntable but figured out it was because I didn't install it correctly. Once its in right it works perfect. 100% satisfied!!...

I LOVE this microhood. I read some comments about the tray bumping while the microwave is on and found out that there are three pieces to the inner tray. If the tray is put together correctly and is placed on the rotating piece correctly it doesn't 'bump' when working. I love this microhood. All the features are wonderful!...

I bought this microwave about a year about a half ago and I love it. It cooks great and evenly. I like how it senses when the food is cooked. Most of the time it works well. Some cons are: I wish it had more food options to select to cook. The turntable does come off the track sometimes. It is hard to clean on the inside. It would be the best microwave if they would fix the turntable....

I bought this microhood before reading all of the reviews. After reading the reviews I was really concerned and considered returning it b/c of the issues with the turntable. I even contacted Sears about my concerns. The customer service person assured me that my model wasn't affected by the turntable issue and if I had an issue they would correct it right away even though I didn't purchase the extended warranty. I have to say we have had this microhood for almost 2 months and have had no issues at all. I love how it looks, all of its features and how well is heats and cooks....

We love the Kenmore Elite Microwave. We have had a couple of instances where the sliding tray seemed to jump the track; however it's always after the microwave has been cleaned so we are assuming we are not putting it back exactly right. It only happens once and then it's fine until the next cleaning. We love the dial setting and have found the dinner plate reheat very convenient. Only one problem with the setting and that was for a microwaveable pot pie. The meat was rubbery on the recommended setting on the pot pie. We have cooked several since and have played with the settings and now have the timing correct. Great for melting butter too!...

had this about 5 months now. Finally called sears for repair.The dish comes off the track. The tech informed me they now have a repair kit. I llike the dial setting for everything. Reheats everything very evenly. Looks great too...

I must have got a good one. We love the 30 sec button. Just put in your cup of cold water and hit it three times for steaming hot water or coffee. It looks nice and matches our elite slide in oven below. we didn't have a clue when shopping and was directed to this unit by the saleman at sears....

less than a year old and the item has an unrepairable turntable issue. It was the top of the line at the time it was purchased, the turntable came off the mark a number of times but I was told not to worry it was just getting broken in. Now it is constant and I'm having trouble getting the parts they say will fix it because they are no longer available from the maker. I did not purchase the extended warranty believing such an expensive item from a reputable company would not need it. The bottom line is I suggest you do not purchase this item...

It does heat well & evenly. It looks nice. As other reviewers have noted the turntable is a problem. Ours jumped off the track often when we first installed it. This makes a loud sound when the glass tray clangs back down, can be quite startling. For some unknown reason it seems to have gotten better over time. Luckily we got the extended warranty, so we're keeping an eye on it. Also I dislike the fact that the microwave doesn't have a number keypad. I was wary of this when we were shopping, but the salesman assured me that people love the dial. I don't. If you want a specific time, say 8 minutes, you either have to use the dial or push the 30 second button 16 times. Using the dial to get a specific time is fussy. It's impossible to enter a time without going past it & having to turn it back & forth. For this reason alone I am sorry we bought this model. I have had this microwave a year and loved everything about it except the track issue, and had I read these reviews before I purchased the oven I would've hesitated...The plate revolves on a platform that moves back and forth, and both are on a rotating arm. After a few months that platform would not stay on that arm and a few seconds into a cooking process the platform would ride up on the side of the oven and clunk against the door, CLUNK. Every time. My husband thought the platform had warped, but since I had the extended warranty I had Sears come out and was informed the problem had to do with the rotating arm and was really not fixable. To their credit, Sears is replacing the microwave with one of equal or better value, the reason I buy my appliances with these guys to begin with......

After studying about microwaves, this one was tops on reheating and defrosting which is what we do most. My husband wanted a microwave that his big instulated coffee mug would fit in....this one fit the bill!! I love the stainless steel interior. It cleans up easily and I know that there will not be any rust damage inside because of it being stainless steel! The sliding turntable inside does a wonderful job of heating the food completely. There are no cold spots in the food. When we first got it, I think the turntable was not in the unit correctly and it did get off the track, but when I took it out to clean underneath and put it back correctly, it has not gotten off track at all! I like the night light feature since I work at night and am up all times of the night on my days off. The night light allows you to be able to set it at anytime you want it to come on and turn off. That way you can always see your buttons at night!! Our first microwave was a Kenmore and was great. I think this......
