We bought this freezer in May and it has worked great through the hottest summer on record here in Dallas. We keep it in the garage and have no problems. It keeps everything frozen solid. We are very happy with our choice.

We bought this Kenmore Freeze (with the Auto Defrost function) 2.5yrs ago, and to-date it has performed without a hitch. We keep it in the laundry room. It stores tons of meat, juice, butter, and other items. No frost damage to food if properly packaged/sealed. The only minor issue is a slight buzzing noise from the unit but this is expected from a stand-alone freezer unit. It's by no means annoying, just noticable when the cycle is on (it's not constant), but since the unit is in the laundry room, we just close the door and the noise disappears. I haven't had this unit but just over a week, unpacked out of the box and unit had a broken lower shield from mis-handling. Called the parts line and had a new one at no charge of course within 2 days. Everything about this freezer is great , I like the outside controls with easy to read temperature readout and the alarm feature is nice as well. Unit seems a little loud while running compared to others that I have heard and seen run. But unit is in garage anyway so not a real big issue at this time, but all in all a good price for a good unit....

I purchased one in April of this year, the quality is poor at best. Although it looks high tech it is a poor performer. Every 2 or 3 days it gets a frost buildup on the inside top of the door and the upper area of the cabinet in front of the interior light. I had the Sears service technician look at it this morning to see if the frost problem could be corrected, I was told that the frost buildup was a normal thing on this model, I showed him where a credit card could be inserted in several places where the seal is attached to the door and was told that was normal. I told him that I have had Sears freezers for 40 years and that none of them ever had a frost issue. He told me that the older models were manufactured by Whirlpool, and that the only company building Home freezers now is Frigidaire/Gibson, and their lack of quality is normal. I suggest staying away from this product....

I just got this freezer but am so-far impressed. I replaced a smaller Kenmore freezer and find the interior lighting great for viewing everything. Also, the exterior display is nice as is the alarm. I'm quite happy with this item so far!...

This freezer replaces a 15 year old Kenmore (still working). I love the two baskets. They make finding small items easy. Kenmore quality and extra features are assumed....

Wow, this is a fantastic freezer. We had a chest freezer before and we debated switching to the upright. I could not be happier with our decision. Thanks to the shelves and baskets, my food doesn't get buried to the artic depths below anymore. We researched dozens of freezers and we bought the best....

I love my new freezer. The size is perfect. The family now has room for all the food a family eats. No more day to day shopping. I have a beige and white kitchen so the color of the freezer (white) is great. We haven't had any problems with the primary shelves or door shelves as other freezers we've purchased in the past. The services was also great when the freezer was installed. The delivery guys knew what they were doing. They were in and out quickly. Excellent choice....

I am so glad to know that I can offer this review on the Kenmore Elite Freezer because I had a horror story from my previous experience with a Fridgidare freezer (lasting only 3 years before replacement--and with 2-3 repair jobs in that time frame!). Our Kenmore Elite has been perfect since we bought it 2 years ago. It has ran perfectly with never a flaw! I love the alarm feature (which comes in handy when someone leaves the door ajar with an overturned ice cream carton-descreetly blocking it from closing all the way! I can't tell you how many times we've been "saved by the alarm"!!!) And the temperature gauge on the outside of the door is a nice assurance that all is well on the inside of the freezer! When people say they don't make them like they used to... I say "But the Kenmore Elite freezer comes pretty darn close!" ~ Thank you for a great product!...

NOT ONLY DOES THIS FREEZER HAVE THE CAPACITY TO HOLD WEEKS OF FOOD FOR MY FAMILY OF SIX, BUT WHEN WE HAVE OUR ANNUAL FAMILY REUNION OF ABOUT 40-50 GUESTS, WE PUSH THE FAMILY FOOD TO THE BACK OF THE FREEZER AND FILL IT WITH ENOUGH FOOD AND DESSERTS FOR THE REUNION. ALSO, IT IS EASY TO SEE WHAT I ALREADY HAVE IN MY FREEZER BECAUSE IT IS WELL LIT AND MAKES GOOD USE OF THE AVAILABLE SPACE. I CAN BUY THE WAREHOUSE SIZE PACKAGES OF FOOD, AND IT WILL ALL FIT. Kept continually at -6 / ice cream will not freeze , service dept said not to adjust any lower. Have had a hard time getting a resolution. The freezer is spacious and looks good but we are still working on this problem with the service department. They have not been responsive as the feel it is because the freezer is kept in the Garage - our garage is well insulated and did not have an issue with the previous freezer....

We are amazed how the Kenmore Freezer Elite has improved. Not only are they one of the highest rated in a Consumer Testing organization. Our old Kenmore gave us 16 yrs of good Service in Alaska, and was time to retire....Our new Kenmore Elite has an external thermometer....one glance you know how your items in the freezer are holding at -10'F....much more room than our old 19 cu ft No more coils in the rear of freezer.....Very quiet ...We couldn't be happier...
