I live in a rural town that gets its water from the Missouri River. We seem to get alerts to the amount of contaminates in the water about every four months. Besides the poor quality of the water I could not stand the taste of it. Before we bought the water filter I would go to ******** and fill up six 1 gallons jugs of water through their water filter station. That was quite an inconveinance.

I checked the ratings of water filters in a consumers magazine and the Kenmore Premium Taste and Odor Water Filter rated very high and was listed as a best buy. It was pretty easy to instal. I hurt my knee and couldn't get on the floor so my 16 year old daughter did all of the work. She actually wouldn't let me do anything but answer questions. Using the water filter makes a world of difference and because of that, the whole family is drinking a lot more water.
