I bought this for $126 its the same one ,but blue.Well i put together myself, its took about 3 hours.Installation was not complicated, but instruction a little bit confusing in some points. When i pull from the box it was missing rubber guards on hood, but i went to sears ,and they provide me with new ones. When I finish installation,I decide to light it up.Its lights up quickly no problem so far.it was like 55 F outside it was a windy day, i was waiting for 15 minutes, the most temputer its get hot was 300F with hood close on hi settings, but when you open the hood in 2 minutes temp was drop to 250 F, I'm new to grilling ,and i never own grills, this is my first one,so i can't compare to other grills.I read some reviews, some people complain that its not get hot enough.I call Kenmore, and ask them what is maximum operating temp for this griil , they said 450F,then i said that my dont get more then 300 F, they said it because its cold outside . So im waiting to get 70F day and then try...
...

This grill is ok but does not get hot enough i've only gotten it to about 350 and thats pre heating it for 20 min seams like all the heat goes out the back. it's funny becuase the temp guage has sayings like 300-400 BBQ and 400-500 grill 500+ preheat and i can never get it above 350 so for steaks not too good burgers and dogs ok chicken is ok too. Also i allready had to replace the regulator thinking that might help the heating issue and no luck.
...

Although this grill is nice looking and feels heavy, the design as indicated by other reviews is flawed. There is a vent or gap between the lid and the back of the grill that allows all of the heat to escape. I could not get the grill to heat above 350 degrees despite efforts to close the gap with aluminum foil. What looked like a great deal ($179) as a closeout was not a good value. There is a reason why these grills are still in stock. We unfortunately did not see the bad reviews prior to buying. The worst thing was a wasted afternoon assembling; the best thing was Sears gave full refund.
...

Kenmore model #720-0679R 3 burner grill

I have the an issue with the lack of heat being kept inside the cooking compartment. I can't get the grill much above 400F. That is upon start-up and once I start cooking, when you have to open and close the cover to check on what you are cooking you have all you can do to maintain 300F. I had the Sears service man check it out. Conclusion, the hood is a bad design. When we closed of the back side of the hood off the cooking compartment jumped to 600F in less than 5 minutes. The feedback from the manufacturer is that the unit is not designed to go above 400F. That is not good, I can't even get it hot enough to burn off the previous grilling residue.

The salesman was not real enthusiastic about giving me my money back! I purchased the maintenance agreement with the grill, maybe I should call them on a weekly basis to come fix it.

If rating from 1-10, I give this unit a 10 for looks and a 2 for functionallity!
...

Ok,

I just bought this grill two days ago. I opted to assemble myself, It took me about three hours, but only because I have a three year old that insisted on helping. This grill assembled nicely, I'm very happy with the propane "plumbing" --well engineered. The timer works great guys. All you people that have a timer that doesn't work, try winding it all the way to 60 minutes and then back to the time you want to set. You'll find that it works fine. Just like a clock, you need to wind it fully first to get a full loud ring. I cooked some marinated chicken on it first and was very pleased. Even cooking, and I have no problem with getting some heat out of it. With the lid closed and all three burners on, I was able to get the temp up to 550-600 degree range. All of the complainers out there worried about the large vent size in the back of the grill, should probably get a full propane tank first before they judge the performance of this grill....It's a winner!
...

OK, I have to caveat this review by warning people that if you're not prepared to do a pretty complex installation, then see if you can have Sears build it for you. There are tons of screws, washers, big heavy pieces, small easy-to-lose pieces ... and instructions that are not quite good enough.

But if you're willing to put in the work, you'll have a really fine, powerful grill. You get a lot for the money. We got the grill at the beginning of summer and it's been used dozens of times since then. It cooks food evenly and cleanly, and cleans up well. One issue - I usually clean a grill by roasting the heck out of the grill grates, turning the leftover grease and food to ash, then scrub it off. I think I scrubbed too hard and I seem to have taken off the enamel from the grates. Maybe it's supposed to do that ... ? I kind of think not.

Anyway, in Southern California, we'll get use out of this grill right through the fall and part of the winter. I'm certainy hoping for good...
...

Very sturdy construction, heavy top. My door was warped but..... who cares. Lit the thing as soon as it was put together, burgers on 5 minutes later.... Thanks to the timer I did not burn them (Few beers later) Cooked great, minimal flare-ups, GREAT non-stick surface. Great price, great value.... Don't be afraid of this grill.
...

With all three burners on high, and with the lid closed, my unit only gets to about 400 F after 15-20 minutes. The temperature gauge has marks all the way up to 700F. The gauge itself has temperture ranges that include warming, BBQ, grilling and preheat; I can only get to the lower end of grilling, and grilling is what I want to do.
I have been looking at this grill for a bit, trying to get a lower price after reading all the reviews. When I purchased this grill about a month ago, the reviews were horrible, people had to return several times, don't grill on windy days etc.. blah blah blah!
After reading this review, run- don't walk to your nearest Kmart or Sears and buy this grill. (:
I'm not good with items like Ikea assembly, but the grill was a breeze to assemble. The instructions could have been printed in larger font, but I managed perfectly. The grill wasn't dented, it wasn't scratched and the timer bell is loud enough as you shouldn't be miles away when your grilling anyways. (: The grill lit perfectly, not one issue. The grill cooks evenly and I couldn't be happier with this purchase! If you have any questions about this grill do not hesitate contacting me. I am not an employee of Kmart, Sears or Kenmore.. Just a happy consumer. (:...

I purchased this grill in June 09 for $179 US pre-assembled in Batavia, IL. Store staff was a great help prepping the grill for the ride home. Looks great, works great. The bottom doors are a little flimsey, but can be easily bent to fit better. One design feature that I would like to see improved is that all four caster wheels should pivot or be allowed to be rotated so that the user can easily move the unit forward and back, not just side to side. I am not a frequent griller, so I weighed cost vs. how often I planned to use it, otherwise may have opted for an upgrade in quality and cost....

Love this grill!! cooks evenly, looks nice, easy to clean. Heats up well, no flare ups and the ignitor works great. The timer is not real loud, but otherwise I am extremely happy with his grill. Bought an expensive Stainless Steel grill at a Big name box store 4 years ago and it was awful! Will never do that again! Have all Sears appliances and should have gotten a Sears grill from the get go!! Only draw back is it takes a while to assemble, but with time and patience you will have a great grill!...

Note that this is the second grill I've ever purchased - the last one being a Kenmore that I had for several years and really liked until it was destroyed in hurricane Ike.

Because I was so pleased with my old grill, I went ahead and shopped for today's equivalent. While looking at the grill in the store I noticed that the majority of the grills that were put together in the store had missing rubber 'feet' in the front that are used to cushion the lid when it is closed. The rubber had just torn off and the metal that was left caused the bottom of the lid to be dented and the paint to be chipped off.

I was a little concerned, but went ahead and got a grill in the box to be sure that I got one that wouldn't have been abused in the store. After getting it home and unpacking it - sure enough it was already dented with the paint chipped and rubber feed half torn while in the box.

I'm bummed because I like pretty much everything else about the grill, but I foresee the metal rusting with the......

I was extremely disappointed with my last grill (a pricey stainless charbroil) which looked good but didn't cook very evenly and more or less came apart after only 4 years under a covered deck. So I decided to go with the Kenmore brand. After having this grill for a month - it's definitely the best I've ever owned. It cooks extremely evenly, flareups are minimal, and the porcelain coated cook grate is easy to clean. It also starts very easily.

I just hope it proves to be durable? But Sears products have almost never let me down. Should have gone with a Kenmore grill a long time ago. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the doors on the lower part don't close quite right despite my adjusting them several times....

If I had it all over to do again, I would have had it assembled and rented a truck to bring it home. I brought it home unassembled because the assembled one would not fit in my SUV.

It's a real pain to put together because the directions are horrible. The wording is vague and the illustrations are small and hard to see.

Once I got the base put together the cooktop was pulled out and was badly dinged up. Took back the cooktop and they switched it out. The second one had a bad paint finish. Finally the third one was perfect.

Now assembled I really like this grill. It's a great looking, great performing grill. Nicest grill I've owned....

I was not impressed at all with the sturdiness of the base. The magnetic latches do not hold the lower doors shut when you move the grill around, and the doors never did align quite right, even after several adjustments. I was not impressed with the plastic door handles or temperature knobs. The top is fairly sturdy, but it arrived with several areas of chipped paint. The timer is a useless feature. For $350, I expected a much higher quality grill. I'm returning mine and will look at the Weber grills instead....
