This unit operates very quite compared to my previous Trane unit. It cools the upstairs down quickly while humming along without the loud noise usually associated with these type units. I noticed a decrease in my electric bill of about 15 % which has impressed my wife and I. With the winter months being upon us the unit does an excellent job of heating the upstairs as well. So far this winter has been mild but I expect it to be more effective than the old unit with a savings in electric utilization as well. Outside the unit looks as good as the day it was installed over 6 months ago. It is holding up very well to bad rains and sait air in my area. I expect to get years of excellent service based on the performance so far. Finally, the Sears installation team installing the unit were excellent. They deinstalled the old Trane unit and installed the new Kenmore unit with heating coils...... The problem is that the reversing valve failed twice in the first 15 months, once within 2 months of installation. Currently I cannot use my heat pump for heat because THE PARTS ARE ON BACKORDER INDEFINITELY. </p>...
