Sears was great about it and replaced the first one and then the second one gave us more problems. We returned it at the store in Temecula, bought the Kitchen Aid, and the sales man was great. I think we ended up saving almost $700 dollars between price matching and rebates. It fits our small kitchen like a glove. The finish is great, the storage abounds, and it is a quiet as a mouse. My wife likes it even better then I do. It is definitely worth the investment and a dream to have.... It has some little qwirks that Kitchenaid should fix. Our icemaker makes a buzzing sound like a cell phone vibrating. Ice shoots out very fast and sometimes misses the cup. When you open the freezer door an ice cube or two drop on the floor and when you open the meat drawer in scraps against the door. I like the fact it has all stainless sides & front-a feature only found in much more expensive models.Also it seemed to have more door shelf area than kenmore. I contacted Sears and KitchenAid and they both advised that on stainless steel this is not under the warranty. I hate the loud noise it makes when ice is dispensing or missing the ice container and dropping in the bottom of the freezer. I will never purchase anything from Sears again. First we ordered the top-of-the-line Kenmore Elite. It was poorly made. The ice/water dispenser panel was pulling away from the door with a 1/4 inch gap on each side between the plastic frame and the door and it looked terrible. Then the freezer drawer handle fell off in my husband's hand on the second day! We called Sears and they came and picked it up after we picked out the new GE 24.6 Profile Artica which lists at $3999. WHAT A NIGHTMARE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THE GE PROFILE ARTICA!! It was terrible! First the ice machine didn't work at all (upon delivery!) so Sears came out to fix the problem and we told the tech about the horrible noise it makes every hour or so for extended periods of time throughout the day and night. We're talking LOUD and ANNOYING!! Then the noises started while he was there and he said "THAT is a problem. It is under warranty but GE will tell you "it's normal". Insist they fix it!...... It looks great, and it's one of the few models on the market from any company that has stainless on the sides! For being the most expensive refrigerator from KitchenAid, it feels cheap. The shelves inside feel cheap and lack features that my less expensive older Maytag had. The ice maker spits ice out, missing the cup sometimes. Also, with the refrigerator door fully open (and adjusted correctly), the bins rub against it when you open them fully. The electronic temp controls with digital display are nice and make temp adjustments easy. The LED lights on the ice maker save energy, don't get hot like a light bulb, and look really nice at night. I should also mention that it's very quiet. Overall, if your top priority is having something that looks great in your kitchen, this is the model for you....
