I did extensive research for weeks before venturing out to purchase a replacement set for my former HD LCD TV. Before settling for this set I brought home, setup, viewed, and returned four other sets - 2 Samsung models, a Sharp, and a Panasonic. The picture quality for all of these left a lot be be desired. I figured I should have acceptable picture quality right out of the box with little to no adjustments. I tried numerous picture settings and adjustments on the four other sets and kept them in house for at least 2 days each before giving up and returning them to the store.<br/>       I was ready to call it quits and be satisfied with my older flat screen TV. I however continued to research and stumbled across a review of LG sets. I compared the reviews of various models and decided to try the Lg 37lg30.
