We purchased the 4 cup coffeemaker to replace an 8 cup coffeemaker that used the paper filters. This new little coffeemaker has a reusable filter that is easy to remove and wash so we never have to worry about running out of filters and making only 4 cups means we have really fresh coffee every morning. We use mugs so the 4 cup size equates to a mug of coffee for each of us while we relax and read the paper. There is no wasted coffee; you make just what you need and with the increased cost of coffee, that means savings on our grocery bill, too....

LKane1998 says "Four cup is just enough." about Mr. Coffee 4 cup Coffeemaker

This coffee pot is great. Mine has an auto timer which I set the night before. There's nothing like waking up to freshly brewing coffee. It is a compact four cup size which makes just enough for the morning and eliminates waste. It also has an automatic shut off, so I don't run out of the house leaving it turned on. I use mine once a day, sometimes more. Occasionally it is difficult finding the smaller 4-cup filters though. The one down side—this unit seems to have a limited lifespan, based on use, I guess. I have replaced it every few years or so, sometimes even less than a year. I'm beginning to have a collection of extra glass pots. But for the retail price of about $14.99, it's no big deal.
...

I'd be lost without a coffee maker and had owned a very expensive one over the years. I truly like Mr Coffee the best. The expensive one eventually leaked. All it needed was a washer and the law now does not allow the company to send you parts for you to replace yourself. So that would have been expensive to get the company to repair it.

I previously had a 5-cup that was higher in wattage but was noisy and didn't keep the coffee warm enough.
Mr Coffee is perfect for me -- REALLY. If I replace it, I would probably get the same brand again.

I found it makes no sense to spend a lot of money on a coffee maker and find that it doesn't do a better job....

I really loved this pot when I first got it last Christmas, but I am now having trouble with it leaking. It began leaking several months ago. I hope it is just a malfunction with mine and not with all of them. But it makes really good coffee, especially if you don't drink but a cup or two a day....

This little marvel works wonderfully at my desk at work. Like most offices, the free coffee isn't really worth the price you pay. With this maker I can have that extra pick up without having to resort to the office coffee. It takes up a small amount of space in my cube and is easy to clean. I recommend it!...
