The Nintendo Wii is an excellent starter video game console. In preference, I like it more than the PS3 and the Xbox360. The Wii is more so a social console, in which the best games are the ones you play in groups, with friends, with family. Your grandma, your mother can enjoy a game or two. Not particularly for serious gamers who like more sophisticated controls and what not. It can help you exercise, get in shape, play some music, there are so many different games to enjoy with the Wii, you can revisit the Mario genre, or any other games that make you nostalgic. Plus, I think the design is cool and it is definitely cheaper than the competitors.

We bought a Wii for our sons birthday and it is so much fun! He loves it and we enjoy it just as much as he does. I also love the assortment of games for the wii, they have a lot of games that are very kid friendly. Although you do have to be careful to make sure the wrist straps are on and there should be enough space for plenty of movement or somebody could get hurt.

We got the Nintendo Wii two Christmas ago as a gift. It came with the first sports game and we also got her Super Smash Bros. At the time she was 16, so not much of a child anymore, and she loved it. I saw her play the Sports game and work her but off. I couldn't help but to pick up the controller and set up my own character. It was fun to make the avatar look-a-like but not as fun as the actual game play. My favorite sports game is the boxing training and fighting. Being a boxing enthusiast it was easy to get into it and realize how real the workout is, if done correctly. I don't know how many calories I burn but it's so addicting and fun you don't realize you're working out until you can't play anymore from fatigue. With our countries problem with over-weight children, this could be a starting point for them to getting active. It's not only good for them it good for everyone in the house hold. This is the best thing we have purchased as a family in some time. Dad and grandpa golf, mom and daughter bowl and play tennis, while the grandchildren run, jog, or play any one of a number of games appropriate for their age. One of the best things about Wii is that it keeps my arthritis at bay. Moving to the jogging activities or bowling helps me keep moving-even on my worst days I look forward to it.

The console takes up little or no room and can stand or lie flat. This is much unlike the old Nintendo Game Stations of the past. The controls are wireless for ease of use. One thing you should know is that if you plan on using the controls often you should purchase the battery charger that is sold separately to save on the cost. It is well worth the money you will save in purchasing the AA batteries in a two-month period. Another warning about the controllers would be that you should definitely use the wrist straps because when you really get playing actively, well, they can slip out of...

The Wii is good for all ages. My mother in law law uses it at her senior facility. I am in my 50's and I love it. And I know kids in the neighborhood love it. As long as you set up the sensor where it will not be hurt or moved, and you have to know with this technology it will somwtimes not communicate perfectly, you'll love it!

I love the Wii when friends come over, not so much when I'm alone. This tiny machine can download old SNES,NES, Genesis,N64 and other old skool consoles for a small fee per game (5-15$). This console is played best with friends over and its hella fun. I recommend this to anyone.

Family game night's have always been great. But since we have purchased a Wii, the game night's seem better than ever. Both games included (Wii Sports and Resort) are wonderful and will have you playing for hours. Truly a fun and unique gaming experience. Simple out of the box set-up. Well worth the money.

I have had my Wii for almost 3 years and I love it. My mom is not into video games at all but she loves doing bowling for the Wii Sports. It's really easy to use and get the hang of. But what's awesome is the fact that even my 2 year old can play the games (with a little help of course). But it really does bring your family and friends together to have some great fun! Just as a fore warning though is that our sensor for the Wii remotes isn't the best quality so it might give out. We went through about 2-3 sensors before we found one that actually worked pretty well. Also it seems like the Wii Remotes have been eating my batteries! So try to find a battery charger for the remotes or those rechargeable batteries.

Awesome console. Love the amount of interaction required to play the games. I do wish that Netflix was built into it, it is a hassle haveing to load a disc everytime. Also I wish they would add more internet function to the device like Pandora, facebook, etc. Oh yeah that is without having to pay for installation of the apps.

This is such a fun alternative to most gaming systems. It allows you to have your own personality and to get you active while playing fun games. I bought the Wii a couple of years ago and still play it a lot!

While the Wii may be difficult to find, it is most definately worth the search! I love so many things about this syste. One thing that is awesome is the fact that with a simple disk from Netflix and an internet connection, I can stream movies and tv shows to my television live. I also love the fact that I can browse the internet and also download great games from past systems on to the wii. Currently I have downloaded Super Mario Bros., Super Mario Bros. 3, Zelda Occarina of Time, Zelda Majora's Mask, Kirbies Dream Course, Super Mario World, Donkey Kong Country, and Donkey Kong 64. For best play results with the classic games though, you will need to pick up the classic controller. The games that are on the market for the WII are awesome! I currently own Beattles Rock Band, Guitar Hero III, Guitar Hero World Tour, Brunswick Bowling, Madden 2010, and Mario Kart. I plan on getting a wii fit plus very soon! This game system is also great if you have children that are sitting around playing...

This game console VALE VERGA!!!! The Wii sucks, i wouldn't even bother playing it even if my tia gave it to me but i hardly doubt she has the money to afford it. Pero you know what? The only reason i give it props its because my mom barely bought me the Nintendo 64 for my birthday with NBA Hangtime at the Alameda Swapmeet. I'd much rather get a PS3 like my cousin Severino, he sells drugs so he can afford it. He lets me play it all the time when my mom goes over to ask my primo for a loan. The graphics on the PS3 are perrones, not the mierditas you see on the Wii. Maybe i will get a PS3 for christmas from Severino or my new stepdad, Felipe. :)

I had this system for a few weeks before I turned around and re-sold it. I've had the PS3 for quite some time, and the Wii just can't compete with it in any way. It is however a very unique gaming experience. Don't expect high quality graphics, interent connectivity or the ability to play DVDs/Blu Ray. My 10 year old daughter loved it for the first few days, however she never turned it back on after that. She was bored. The price drop helps being at $199, so I may buy a bunch to resell come the holidays, but I wouldn't recommend this system if you're a true die-hard gamer. This won't be for you if that's the case.

Unbelievable this thing actually made me break a sweat. I'm not talking an oooo I feel a little overheated sweat I may need a glass of water. I mean a drenching hot terrible horrible sweat the kind that you feel 10 pounds heavier like you just climbed out of a pool and downing water by the gallons sweat. And that was just from the boxing portion of the wii sports. I about died after baseball and tennis. My cool down was some bowling and golf. The last time I owned a console was when the ATARI 7800 came out yeah I am only 21 yrsold, none of the other systems moved me like ATARI did you had to get out of your chair. The wii does this even better and it is so easy even for the non-technical. There is no reason that everybody should not have a wii that can get one. Get the kids motivated, play yourself, have game parties, whatever you do to stay fit or if you are a potatoe get this console you can add it too your daily fitness routine or start one with it. This is one of the best consoles out......
