We saved $65.00 on delivery and 199.00 on assembly. The box was large, but with a pick up truck-no problem. It took about 2 hours to assemble. The screws all come in a box like chocolates do. There is a map above each section and tells what it is. I purchased this for 1099.99 and today it went to 999.99-so Sears did let me do a price ajustment. This elliptical is like the ones in a fitness center. It's very sturdy. I shopped for about 6 months to find the right one. Grand Blanc, MI

I have owned this machine for about a month and I am completely satisfied with it. One great feature about this machine is that it has an internal generator, meaning you are forced to have it next to an outlet to plug it in for the console to work---as soon as you get on and start moving, everything lights up and you can choose your program. This unit is extremely quiet too---I get on mine at 5am while my husband sleeps in the room across the hall--it has a very smooth and fluid motion that is so gentle on your joints. I had to give up running because I couldn't move the next day---with this machine I have had no problems at all. It took my husband and I about 1 1/2 hours to put it together with no issues whatsoever. If there were one drawback, it would be it's size. It is pretty big and if you're thinking about one of these machines, you really should go to your nearest Sears store and check them all out to see the size for yourself. All I can say is that I'm very happy...

I love this thing! My wife and I bought this elliptical, and I can't keep off of it. I believe that you get a much better leg workout than on a treadmill. HOWEVER, I do love my treadmill, too. I'd buy this again IF mine fails and they continue making this. No doubts at all about it....

After having multiple problems getting the elliptical assembled by professinal assemblers authorized by Sears, we have found more noises, creaks, and uneven movement when using it. Also we don't like the calorie burn function with being able to input individual weight. I don't find the elliptical as smooth as other reviewers have stated. It makes funny noises, sounds like pneumatic brakes are being applied and squeeks. For the price of the machine and the cost of assembly, I expected more....

This a heavy, well constructed machine. Easy to follow directions for assembly. Allow 1.5 to 2 hours for assembly. Machine operates quietly and smoothly. I liked the sealed bearing construction. It is very solid and stable. Self powered display is easy to use and see. This machine would compete with models costing thousands more. Do your research and you will find, as I did, that this is one of the most highly rated machines on the market. Would highly recommend....

I have had my elliptical for 3 weeks now & could not be happier! I was looking at the Autostrider 990, but when I went to Sears and actually got on the machine, there was such a HUGE difference in the 990 to the cx1600. The 1600 felt like a "real machine", something that could hold up over time and take being used every day. The 990 was not sturdy, made noise (a lot) and felt like it could tip over if a 200lb person got on it. For the price difference which was $500, the 1600 was worth every dime! I wanted something I could do at home and get a great work out on - being a stay home mom, time is everything & getting to a gym or running with my kids is just not a reality. I use it every day for 30 mins. Great work out and I really enjoy my time on it. Would not trade my elliptical for the world! I highly recommend this machine to anyone who is looking for a good, heavy, well built elliptical. Hope this review was of help!!...

The unit came with a small part missing on a pedal leg. I called Nordic Track which wanted to charge me for sending the missing part. They finally relented but sent the wrong part. I went and bought washers to substitute for the missing bushing. The electronics are terrible. The resistance settings didn't work the first few times I tried to use it but seem now to have started working. The heart rate monitor doesn't work. When I asked Nordic Track about that, I was told I must be perfectly still for it to work. How ridiculous--I don't care what my heart rate is when I am still. I want to know when I am exercising. And by the way, it didn't work even when I was still. I bought a real heart monitor that works while I am exercising. I would return this product were it not for it having to be dissembled and the hassle of doing it. Don't buy one!...

We bought this machine yesterday and assembled it today. The box was huge and extremely heavy - make sure you take a truck and at least 2 strong men to move it. My husband and I alone couldn't move it. I have to give mega kudos to NordicTrack for the excellent way the instructions were written!!! This was one of the easiest things I have ever assembled by myself. I needed another pair of hands just twice to hold the heavy parts being attached to other heavy parts. There is definitely no need to hire someone to do the assembling. Besides, the machine is SO BIG, if we had this thing assembled at the store, I do not know that we could have gotten it through the door and hallway to our bedroom. Make sure you have a BIG SPACE to put this machine. It is not small, and although I looked online pretty much everywhere, we never could find the dimensions to figure out if this thing would fit in our house. the quality of this machine far surpasses every other floor model we tried at Sears and Academy.......

This machine is very smooth. I have used it almost every day since I got it 5 weeks ago. It is a very good workout! I was surprised at how sturdy and quiet it was and then it developed a few squeeks . I have retightened the screws which has eliminated most of the noise. The CX 1600 is very heavy (due to it's quality construction) and larger than expected, but overall I am extremely pleased with it....

The box is very large. But it fit in the back of our minivan. I recommend a pickup truck or trailer. Unpacking and initial layout took about an hour. But I was able to do it by myself. Assembly is definitely not for the novice. I have a garage full of tools and consider myself to be mechanically inclined and I found it challenging at times. Many parts to contend with, screws, bolts and grease. My machine had a problem with the handles fitting into the upper axle. The axle was machined very poorly and did not allow the handles to be inserted. I called Nordic track and they sent out replacement parts. It took over a week to receive the parts to repair my 'new' machine. I considered just taking it back to Sears but the hassle of reloading this beast was too much. Seems to me a product of this price should work right out of the box. We have been using the machine for about a month now. So far we are satisfied with its performance. But we are still working out some squeaks. The plastic wheel......

the 1600 elliptical is a beautiful machine. i have it for over a month and use it almost every day. it is smooth, quiet and easy on the joints. this machine requires no batteries. my teenage son loves this machine. to my dismay it is heavier and larger than expected. this machine is fun. i am bored with the treadmill....

the 1600 is an amazing piece of equipment.. It is very well built, and it is smooth and easy on the knees. I would highly recommend this machine to someone wanting a durable elliptical that works like a dream....

Big box - so bring your pick-up truck or trailer. The oscillator mechanism is the heaviest part. This thing is extremely well built - assembled very well, and operates silently. Plenty of grease included 2 packs so can keep it quiet for quite a while. Wife loves her gift. We'll write a review once we have more time in use. I have used it 2 times for 1/2 hour a piece. Low impact high intensity. Very well build, and easy to use. Makes its own current for the display BIG + So overall so far A+ :)...

Love this Elliptical and purchased it from the store. Tried all the ones on the floor, and this one was the best. Some of the other ones were a little two rickety for me, and I did not like the way they postioned my legs, but this one is awesome. I put it together myself and I am a female. However, It does take a couple of hours to put together. Take your time and make sure all the screws are tight, and that way the machine will run smooth and won't sway. I do not regret this purchase at all. It works out both my legs and my arms. And I have used it just about everyday since I have bought it....

this is probably the best elliptical created. with the unmatched smoothness of this machine i cant see why anyone would want anything else. the programs are so helpful and easy to use. if i can lose weight and stay in shape with this versitile machine, anyone can. highly recommended....
