dougsprincess says "My favorite of the Ocean's trilogy!" about Oceans Twelve - Widescreen

I don't know how anyone couldn't love this movie! When I first moved away from home and out on my own, I didn't know a lot of people yet so I got really bored at night. I decided to do the whole Netflix thing (this was before Redbox and Blockbuster Express). I had heard about the Ocean's movie, but I'd never seen it. So I decided to try it for myself. I added Ocean's Eleven to my queue and waited for it to arrive. I watched it the night it came in the mail.... and LOVED it! I thought there was a second one, so I got online. Sure enough, Ocean's Twelve! So I put that in my queue as well. To make a long story short, I ended up watching all three and later purchasing a boxed set of the Ocean's Trilogy. But every time I want to watch something and just don't know what to pick, I always fall back on Ocean's Twelve. I love the story line. I love the whole "have Tess pretend she's Julia Roberts" when Tess is played by Julia Roberts. And François Toulour is my FAVORITE! Best movie! And the funny...
...

MikeyRocks says "Overrated" about Oceans Twelve - Widescreen

How do you manage to get some of the best actors of our decade and put them all together on one movie and still have the movie be utter garbadge.

Watch Ocean's Twelve and you'll find out.

Without giving too many spoilers this movie has a horrible plot that makes little or no sense and tries to cover it up by having twists and turns. To the untrained viewer it appears that there is merely a complicated film. But viewing it more than once it quickly becomes clear that this emperor has no clothes.

The only reason that this film warrants an average rating is because you can enjoy it if you just like seeing famous actors...but that's about it. Sure you can see it once and laugh at how utterly plotless it is and ohhh and ahh at the famous actors and actresses who are in this movie (there's plenty of them) but don't bother buying the DVD...seeing the film more than once doesn't help any.
...
