It was so hard giving up my old camera, but when I found this one, I fell in love. It had the same features as my old camera, which is important to me, and soo much more. I take art class in school and sometimes it requires us to take photos. Well this camera has all type of modes, portrait, landscape, behind glass, candle, night, its great. And you can even decorate oor customize your picture right on the camera. Its so cool. Plus you can send your pictures straight to the printer and there you go. You've Got Pictures!... I come from a family where Olympus has been our "Camera of Choice" for many years. I LOVE this camera! I have a larger Olympus digital but was wanting something more compact and this is it! It was reasonably priced and takes wonderful pictures! I love the 10 mp so I can make larger sized pictures that look great! This camera is very easy to use and I love the guide on it which helps in different picture taking situations. The only negative thing I can come up with is that I would like for it to have come with a basic manual that I could look at without having to put the cd on my computer and print iT myself. I really don't think that anyone would be disappointed with this camera.... I love this camera! I am able to take pictures at far distances much better than my previous Olympus camera's. I have the ability to zoom in perfectly on anything without distortion. The pictures can be blown up and printed to Poster-sized pictures. There are many extraordinary features on this camera, most of which I am still learning to use. The pictures do take up a great deal of memory on a computer, so I do recommend an external hard-drive or a high-memory flash drive for storage. And you will want to purchase a memory card for your camera, for the same storage reasons. Also, the battery tends to drain quickly, but I seem to take 200-400 pictures, including editing, deleting, etc. before the battery dies. We purchased this at Sears, and I have to say that it is the best service I have had with any electronics. The sales person was not pushy or stand-offish. He knew the product well...... The screen is big and there are a lot of 'on-camera' features like red eye fix, lighting fix, and stabilization fix. It's great for sporting events and other high motion settings; I took a picture of my fan on high and it caught a completely still picture of the blades. This camera has a mode for everything - night, motion, fireworks, landscape, candle light, self portrait, and more. I also took a picture in a dark room using the night mode and it looked like a picture taken during the day. The software that is included is really great too. The software included is really phenomenal. It's fast and uses a small amount of memory and disk space. There are some really fun features that make it worth installing. The only kind of bad thing is that there is no digital zoom, just optical zoom. If that will really bother you don't get this camera. If not, it's a great buy....
