i will get my rebate one way or the other.. you guys are full of ****... you cant send a simple receipt in the mail and because i don't have the receipt you won't approve my rebate.. thats cool. what i didn't get a receipt for, i never bought so that's just too **** bad for you. You're lucky i will do right and only claim my rebate back from my bank.

I purchased the 25 piece Basic Essentials cookware set because I expected to receive the promised $20.00 American Express "branded" gift card which made the total price attractive. When I called the rebate center several weeks after the purchase, they immediately told me the upc and rebate form I submitted was lost in the mail. Interesting. I was so disappointed in the customer service and how much the rep seemed trained to handle this "scam." If you can't count on the US Postal Service to deliver mail from the post office then how else can you cut the stinkin' UPC from the box and mail it in??? Wow. I'm thinking the mail delivery really isn't the issue here.

I submitted the paperwork for our dryer via mail in early August. As stated on the paperwork I allowed 60 days for processing. When I called in mid-October inquiring about my rebate, I was informed they never received the paperwork and since the paperwork needed to be submitted by Sep. 4, they could do nothing to help me....I was out of the money.

Just bought a Maytag washer and dryer. There is supposedly a $250.00 rebate. But where? When I called the Sears store I purchased at, he said it would be delivered with the washer and dryer. The delivery person didn't know anything about it. I called Sears again and they said it would be on their website. Not! Very confusing. I wasn't even told about the rebate you can only claim within 48hours of purchase so I misssed out on that one since appliances were delivered a week later. So I'm still trying to figure it out. Also model #'s are not on receipt as you would think. I was leary about buying with Sears b/c of an experience a few years ago, but I thought I would try again. What was I thinking?

I purchased a refrigerator from Sears. One of the main decisions was that the rebate would cover the delivery charge. As the competition was offerring free delivery the rebate was the only way that Sears could compete with the free delivery. I went online and entered my receipt info for the rebate. About two months later, I received a check for $47. I called the rebate center because this was not the correct amount. I was told that this was an additional rebate on the extended service plan I had purchased on the same receipt. It took my about a month to deposit the $47 check and then it was returned to my account. I was charged a returned item fee by my bank for the Sears rebate check being returned. I notifed Sears rebate and nothing. I contacted Sears rebate regarding the other rebate that I was owed and they stated that it is marked completed in their system but I never received the money. Unfortunately I have had a very disappointing experience with Sears and their rebate program. My husband and I needed a new bed and did a lot of research as to the type of bed and where the best place to purchase one was. ***************.org recommended Sears because of their 30 day return policy on mattresses. I thought it was a good deal, because it would give us a chance to make sure the bed we purchased was comfortable and worth the money.

So October 16, 2009 we went to Sears to search for our new bed. The sales lady at Sears was great, very helpful in helping us find different bed choices in our price range. Upon purchase the sales lady informed us that there was a rebate on the deliver fee (I had also noticed signs hanging above the department stating the same thing.) "Great!" We would get a new bed and save a little money. The deliver guys were great, brought in the bed without incident, set it up for me in the bedroom. So far the service was excellent.

You know I am actually a bit relieved reading these reviews because I thought I was the only person who experienced this issue with Sears' rebates. I attempted to submit a rebate online for a $65 delivery charge on any appliance over $399 and conveniently every time I attempted to submit it the online rebate center was "temporarily" out of service. Right, temporarily out of service for over 3 weeks? Eventually ran out of time trying to do it online and had to mail it in which I HATE to do because they always find some stupid reason to say your application was incomplete/illegible. The whole operation is a big scam, but what Sears does not know is that I am WAY more persistent than they had anticipated and I will definitely not give up it until I receive the rebate!

Why dose a company with the reputation of Sears now lower their standards and use mail in rebates to provide "Free" shipping.

If they truly wanted to provide "Free" shipping the cost would be deducted at the register. No waiting.

Sad to see Sears lowering their standards to a Scamers level. I will think twice before buying at Sears.

Once the company that leads to just one of the sheep that follows.

I submitted a rebate online in January, but never got anything back. Called in October, and was told that there was no rebate offer available at the time of purchase. I gave them the rebate offer number as shown in the rebate form, they claimed that was not a valid number. I offered to email them the rebate form from Sears.com, they refused. I called Sears Customer Solutions; the representative there told me that rebates are oursourced to an external company, and Sears has no control over how rebates are handled. I have to say that Sears made a very bad choice in choosing its rebate service provider: this is going to hurt Sears in the long run -- now I have zero confidence in any rebate offered by Sears.

I purchased a lawn mower from Sears. A day later I saw a rebate for a protection agreement. I called Sears and was assured that YES I qualified so I sent the paperwork in. Later, I noticed that they needed more information, so I called. I had a hard time understanding them. They said they needed a receipt for the agreement. (I'd sent in a copy of the actual agreement which has price, date and payment method). I called Sears back, they told me to send a copy of the protection agreement. Oops! That's exactly what the rebate center said they would NOT take, so they sent me a receipt by snail mail. I then called the rebate center with the receipt in hand. (The store number would not input on rebate site). I was then told that since I purchased the agreement after the lawn mower, I didn't qualify. BUT....GOOD NEWS! I DID qualify for the 5% back since I used my Sears card. I have never had a Sears card, I told the man. He said "lucky you!". I told him I didn't qualify for...

I'm so frustrated with sears right now. I purchased a bed in the beginning of February and was supposed to receive a rebate for $75. I waited 48 hours and registered online. It's been 4 months and I still haven't received anything. Everytime I call the sears rebate center, I speak with a person who can barely speak english and can't understand me, I can't understand them either. This is after I wait on hold for over an hour. I have never seen such poor customer service. I'm so surprised that Sears would treat their customers this way. After investigating online, many others have been through the same thing. It's some sort of scam. Sears rebate wants you to fight for the money, hoping that you'll give up and they get to keep it. Even if they do eventually send it they've made $$$ off the interest of holding your money for so long. I am so disappointed in this company. This will be the LAST big purchase I make from this store....

The sears company offered me a $99.00 rebate it I took the instal of a new Diswaher I Bought in october 2008 and I followed all the instructions completely and then I received a note stating I was unable to receive it due to my sears card the Ladt who did my transaction ran the item and the paper she gave my said i did Qualify for Rebate. I hate mail-in rebates. If a store is going to offer discounts, then quit playing games! Give us the lowest price possible. People are too busy and generally don't fill out the rebates, which I guess is the stores main objective....
