dcestark says "Great Bottles for Gassy Babies" about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

The Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles are great for babies with gas issues. The vent at the bottom helps to eliminate any bubbles the baby makes when sucking, which reduces the amount of air bubbles they take in, which helps lower their gassiness. For better results, mix the formula in a different container before putting into the bottle. There are several parts, so cleaning is a bit time consuming. Also, be sure to assemble correctly, otherwise it will leak.
...

Tkodie says "Easy to use, easy to clean" about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

I like the gift set since you get both large and small bottles.

These are excellent bottles. I understand that some shoppers do not like them because they have several parts. I prefer them because of this. I find the ability to remove the bottom of the bottle makes it easier to clean.

I can also change out the nipples from slow to fast flow at any time. They come in a wide bottom or a narrow bottle, so be sure to select which size you prefer and buy all of the bottle the same size. You can also reuse the nipples, tops, bottoms, and valves on both the 6 ounce and 9 ounce bottles. So if you should ruin one on the heating element of your dishwasher, no worries, you can use the same parts from the other bottles.

The only drawback I can mention is if you or your day care uses a stockpot or water warmer to heat the bottles. Water can get trapped on the bottom cover and run over your hand when you tip the bottle to feed. The water doesn't get inside the bottle, it just rests...
...

My son didn't like the nipples at first. It took him a long time to get used to it. It was a pain to get all the pieces together....I constantly lost the little rubber inner pieces. Sometimes it didn't close right and it leaked and made messes. I got soooo fed up with these bottles, I litterally threw them in the trash. I would never buy these. I only had them because they were a baby shower gift so I used them for a little while. But I just hated these so much that I got rid of them.
...

heatherlakhani says "Great for Nursing Mothers " about Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles

I was given one of these bottles in the hospital where I gave birth to my son. Although I made the decision to nurse I did have plans to return to work after 3 months time. So at around 2 1/2 months I pulled out this bottle and gave it a shot. I was so surprised and happy when my son who had never had a bottle or a pacifier latched on and drank his milk with ease. He had no problems at all and the best part was that he was able to go right back to mother with no problem. There is also an attachment that connected to my madella pump ( and most other pumps) so I could pump directly into the bottle. This saved me time and money because I didn't have to buy those exspensive storage bags. I also love how easy they are to clean. The vent air system was great at keeping him from swallowing to much air. He was even able to use it comfortably when he suffered from two bad ear infections. Overall a wonderful product.
...

I have been using the playtex ventaire bottles for my 10 month old from the time hes about 3 mos. The angulation of the bottle helps in feeding the child when he is sitting unlike other bottles. This also helps reduce Colic.

My only gripe is that they dont make a medium flow nipple for this bottle. My child had to transition from a slow flow to the fast flow.

These Playtex Ventaire bottles come from the makers of Drop Ins. I prefer these over Drop Ins. I think they are easier on the digestive system, they are very easy to clean (surprise!) and they have an added great benefit.

Our 4 month old can hold this bottle much easier than others. Her mom feels more comfortable with drop ins, but when Grandma is in charge, I make her bottles Ventaire! They are so much like the natural flow of milk when held properly. easier to feed the baby, and the slow nipples seem to prevent spit up.

Try these, you'll like them!
...

These Playttex Vent Air bottles may be more expensive than others I have looked at, but they were a great first choice and I wouldn't change them now or ever. My baby has adapted well to them and they do last well. My only wish would be that the larger bottles would also be offered with the slow nipple flow. My son is a big boy and loves his formula and we had to go to the larger 9 ounce bottles quickly, but the fast flow nipples was too much for him. Fortunately, we had the option of either buying the slow flow nipples seperately or just using the slow nipples from the smaller bottles. But strangely, the bottles are sold in a box of 3 and the nipples are sold in packages of 2's. But, these are just great bottles made well and lasting. I don't mind spending more as they are worth every penny to see my baby well. Also, as for washing, I am an old fashioned Mom and still boil my bottles. These hold up well to that although I cannot speak as to how they hold up in the dishwasher. And, in the...
...

I have been using the Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles for years with all three of my children. I enjoy them because they don't seem to give the children digestion issues, gas, or too much burping. The bottles have an "L" shape which allows the baby to easily digest without having to hold the bottle too straight or vertically. This also helps when other people are feeding your child or my six year old son who sometimes has to help out in the car! He can feed her without having to be sure to hold the bottle straight up and down the entire ride. The formula easily moves to the nipple.
You can also see the bubbles forming at the top of the formula inside of the bottle which the baby doesn't digest to prevent gas and vomiting. There are different stage nipples that can be purchased for the Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles and each stage has a large nipple opening for when the child grows or when you begin to put cerebral in the bottle.
...

i really like the ventaire bottles alot but i do have one complaint and that is that the numbers outside of the bottles are rubbing off.i can take my finger and scratch them away.so i have all these bottles with no numbers on them so if im out and about i have to guess where to fill it at which is easy for me since i do it all the time, but for others not so easy, like my husband.i did call playtex and the wonderful girl who answered was great!! she is sending me out 3 new bottles and coupons.i dont know how to keep the numbers from coming off.i dont scrub the outsides, plus i only use warm water to fill them. i also have some evenflo bottles which have the numbers still on them.but i prefer ventaire over them.so i fill the evenflo with water and pour it into the ventaire bottle....

I have bought other bottles just because they were on the clearance shelf what a waste of money for the other bottles. I will continue to use the Playtex Ventaire Baby Bottles for my son.
