When my husband first bought me the Roomba Discovery, I was pregnant and we had a cat. That cat shed like crazy. I was constantly vacuuming because if I didn't, the floor was covered in hair. Once the baby was born, my hubby took over some of the cleaning duties, including the vacuuming. After two weeks, he bought the Roomba. I guess I should have given him that chore earlier!

Roomba was perfect. It picked up all the cat hair without any work on my part. I'd turn it on when I was leaving, and when I got home it was done. Awesome!

Four years later, we don't have a cat, but we do have two extra kiddos. We've also switched from carpet to hardwood floors. Roomba is still chugging along. It's a little more work these days to make sure the floor is ready for Roomba, but it's worth it. And a bonus - the kids love playing with Roomba! If I need to get them out of my hair, I just throw 'em in their bedroom with Roomba, and they're entertained for a half hour or more. It babysits while it...

I purchased a roomba. I recommended it to everyone. I thought it was the greatest thing ever. And then it broke. They replaced it, I figured I had a defect. And then it broke again. Again it was replaced and things went fine-until it broke the third time. Just over a year after original purchase so it was not replaceable-unless I wanted to pay another $150. This product is fabulous if you only want to have it work for about 5 months for the cost of almost $300. If you want something to last-look someplace else....

Purchased Roomba, followed instructions in the book, and it worked awesome, for one week. After the 7th day it would only run for about 30 minutes on a full charge. On the 8th day 15 minutes and finally on the 9th day for 10 seconds. Frustrated I returned Roomba and vacuum the old fashioned way....

I was skeptical that the Roomba would take care of the pet hair in our home, but it has surpassed my expectations 10 fold! This is the best household cleaning tool I have ever purchased. I was so impressed I ordered the Scooba and am thrilled the way my floor look ALL the time!...

Got the discovery as a replacement for the roomba red. Does a great job on bare floors, a so so job on carpets. Love that it docks itself when it's done so I don't have to pick it up and put it back, very convenient. I have two dogs and a cat, am amazed at the amount of fur it picks up in between good vac jobs. I usually clean house good and then use this to maintain the floors in between....

This is a MUST have especially if you have pets, I have used my upright vacuum and then let the roomba go over it and it TRULY picks up dog hair better than any upright available. I suggest getting the extended warranty as sometimes the battery needs replaced and purchasing a new battery doesn't solve the problem. Sears has a wonderful return policy on this, and you get a new roomba with the extended warranty. 10 STAR product!!...

I purchased the Roomba due to being scheduled for surgery in early June. I knew that I would not be able to operate a regular vacuum for about 6 to 8 weeks post-op., and wise enough to also know that my husband and son would be less-than-thrilled with the prospect of doing the vacuuming for me during that time! Although the almost $300 price tag caused some hesitation with my decision, I ultimately concluded that the Roomba would be "worth its weight in gold" if it performed in the way in which I expected from an appliance priced at several hundreds of dollars! And, I am happy to report that it has NOT disappointed! While not perfect, it does a very adequate job of removing most of the noticeable surface "dirt", and it is actually amusing to watch it glide around the house on its "mission"! It is a bonus to be able to do OTHER things while also vacuuming the house; I am very pleased with this purchase!...

I saw this item at Sears and thought I would save a lot of time at home and office with a Roomba. I do when it works. I have had mine for about 3 years now. It was completely replaced under warranty at about 11 months. The second one acted up doing all sorts of weird things. The company sent me an automatic reprogramming thing to plug in. It worked for a while longer--then does weird things like spins aimlessly in circles or simply parks under a couch and eventually the battery dies. It does not like thick carpet. It loves tile and hard wood floors and does a very nice job on them. I would highly recommend this unit for hard floors or very tight weave carpet. It does not work well at all on thick carpet! It does a very good job on pet fur also dust along walls. The unit does not always return itself to the charging base, and sometimes it won't park itself when it does make it back. Sometimes I need to look for it all over the house or office. My battery has died. Parts are only available......

This is a fantastic device! Absolutely no complaints and am only wondering why we waited so long to buy one. I'd recommend it to anyone but especially to all pet owner whose pets live indoors....

I recieved the Roomba for a gift from my brother. He spends quite a bit of time at our house and thought it would be perfect for us. I have 2 dogs both yellow labs. The Roomba picks up the dog hair, but once it goes over the area rugs it leaves the dog hair on the edges of the rug. I feel it's faster to take out my old vacuum. I can't run it while I'm gone because the my girls ( the dogs) are SCARED TO DEATH of it. I would recommend it to friends that don't have dogs....

I love the Roomba and wonder why I waited so long to buy one. The product does a better job than I did and spends more time on each room. Goes under most beds, sofas, tables etc. I ususally do a room a day. I can seat and read while my floors are being done, multi tasking is great. I highlly recommend this product!...

I'm Roomba's biggest fan! I have hardwood floors and tile-no carpet. It's noisy so I run it each morning as we are getting ready for the day. The floors are clean before we leave and the floors remain dust free. You have to empty it after each use and break it down, to clean the brushes, once a week-but this is easy to do. I have allergies and a long hair dog. I couldn't live without it. Only issue is it sometimes dies in the middle of the room instead of going back to homebase when the battery is dead. I called the company and was told this will sometimes happen....

A vacuum cleaning robot was a futuristic promise in 1953 when I started housekeeping. Finally, I have a Roomba. It goes places no other vacuum goes, makes enough noise so I don't trip over it, but not too noisy, and gets the carpet or floor mostly clean. Getting at the debri inside Roomba that has been picked up is a challenge but worth it, compared to pushing and hauling other vacuums. One day, I'll have several and get the whole house done at once. My husband calls it a "toy". Yeah.....and ain't that fun!!...

I love my Roomba! I have a very large hairy dog and use to vacuum everyday the moment I got home from work. I can not stand to see hair all over my area rugs and hardwood floor. I now have a baby, so getting the floor vacuumed everyday has become a much bigger challenge but even more necessary. Roomba to the rescue! I purchased the scheduler to go along with Roomba, I have it set to clean just before we get home at the end of the day. Now when I get home the floor is clean and my baby can crawl where ever he wants without getting covered in hair or tempted to eat any little crumb off the floor. The sensors are easy to set up and keep Roomba away from things such as cords etc. Roomba is easy to clean and can take a bit of a beating. We have multiple levels of flooring and it had no problem transferring from one to another. The edge sweeper works great under furniture and under the kitchen cabinets. I have recommended Roomba to all my friends with pets!...
