We have been getting our daughter's pictures taken at Sears since she was born. We have been extremely happy with the photographers with whom we have worked. We have primarily used two; they were both able to get some amazing shots, incredibly even once when our daughter was in the midst of terrible twos and not cooperating much. The photographer just worked with what he had and moved to get in positions to get my daughter when she decided she was just going to lay down - he laid down and snapped away making her laugh....

What a mess!! The photographer was later and when I finally bought a CD with two photos, I had to pay and extravigant amount. I got the CD home and the jpg files were low resolution - - 280k. I called and they said that there was no mistake.

My cell phone takes better pictures!!

The customer support and tech support was terrible. They didn't know anything about photo files. And they supplied no solutions or reimbursement.

Going to Sears for photos was a mistake that I'll never repeat!!

They were very accomodating for our family group of 20 at the Cupertino, CA store. However, they did not do a good job of arranging people and our group shots had some obvious errors in placement (heights not accounted for, big person in front of smaller people). Things which could have been fixed if the photographer had taken a look at the picture after the first take. So, over all, it was disappointing, but using a coupon, not too bad.

The software for online viewing was not really friendly. There were no editing or montage creations possible (sepia, black and white, etc.).

Manager was very helpful, and other staff were unexperienced.

I always get my grand childrens pictures took at Sears, I like the way the make sure the pictures are good ones before they end the shoot, they take their time and not rush you threw like some photo places have done me in the past and they are very reasonable and have great discount offers!!!

My wife and I have been using Sears Portrait Studio since our first child was born in 1979 and now continues to use Sears Portrait Studio with our granddaughter.We have pictures taken every Christmas and other special occassions. We have 3 children of our own and now our granddaughter. Photographers and salespersons have always been very patient ad understanding even when extremly busy. The portraits are extremly proffesional and beautiful for the cost though the special pictures are a little pricey. Would reccommend to anyone (Sears Store in Watertown NY 13601)

I took my two children in for Christmas photos on Nov 15. Everything went very well and I selected several photos and ordered several sheets. My photographer even put together a beautiful collage, that I also ordered. I was told that my photos woudl be ready on Nov 23, but when I showed up on that date, the photos weren't there. They offered to reorder and I agreed (stuf happens, no biggie). The photos were to be ready on Dec 4. When I arrived on Dec 4 my photos were still. not. there. I went ahead and reordered (sigh), they are supposed to be ready Dec 14 (I'm not holding out much hope at this point). When I mentioned to an employee that I wanted to include some of the pics in a care package I wanted to send to my husband, who is currently deployed, and if I waited until the 15th to send it, it wouldn't get there in time, she was good enough to offer me a free CD. I gratefully accepted, thinking at least I could print of a couple to send him, or email him some. When I got home......

The "photographer" didn't know how to position my 3 yr old to take pictures. She didn't have any clue how to take maternity pictures either. She literally told my toddler to "stand here, ok now smile"....that's it. That's how you engage a 3 yr old to get them to smile for a picture? She snapped 3 pictures in 3 poses within 5 minutes, all followed up with a very faked "that's cute". Shame on you. Most horrible "photographer" I've ever encountered in my life. We promptly went to Kiddie Kandids and had a great walk-in session.

My Experience at the portrait studio was good but could have been a little better. I wished that the Photographer could have given us his opinions and options on backgrounds and positions.

We wanted to be in one position he could have said you know that will not look right let's try this way. He never asked us after a pose if we wanted to see how it looked before moving on to the next one. I think that would have eliminated a lot of time in choosing which pictures you liked and wanted to buy.

I had my sons holiday potraits done and many of the pictures had black scuff marks in them. There backgrounds were old and outdated and many had marks on them. When asked if they could remove the marks before we purchased the photo, the staff was not very knowledable and when we told them to hit the retouch button their program said they did not have photo shop and they were unable to get rid of the black scuff marks. I would expect a photo studio that was trying to charge me $499.95 to have a program that is able to retouch a picture.

This is the best Sears Portrait Studio I have used. The primary photographer seems to be a young woman named Amanda. She is professional, knowledgable and excellent with children.

This is the second time that i have visited this studio and the first time was excellent. Unfortunately my experience this time was not..I was not welcomed immediately the photographer was really understanding that my 4 month old baby girl was fussy. The sitting went well, but once we got to the sales part I was not satisfied at all. She seemed to be frustrated and uninterested in trying to help us find the best fit for our budget. She didnt offer s any packages or suggestive sell anything. I will go back but i am going to pick my photographer ahead of time.
