Great speakers at the price. Very satisfied. Clear highs and mid-range, better than expected base. May not need a separate woofer. Connected to inexpensive receiver. Perform well....

I bought these speakers to upgrade from a 5.1 setup to a 7.1 setup. While shopping around I tested several speakers and these Sony speakers were not the most powerful bookshelf speakers out there, but for the price and given my setup (where I don't need a lot of power) I am very happy with there output and how they match up well with my other speakers. These Sony speakers have really made a difference when I am watching movies. Having had a 5.1 setup for sometime and debating whether I really need to add 2 more speakers, I am glad I finally did it!!!

Bought these the weekend of the superbowl to give us a better listening experience. I use them as my rear speakers on my home theater system. Searched all around at ******** and other stores and no one came close to the price of these. They sound great and you cannot go wrong with the price!

I'm a big fan of booming bass so I didn't want to use these as my main fronts. I decided to use them as my surround speakers and couldn't be happier. They are the perfect size for surround. Not too small and underpowered like bose surround and not too big to be a nuisance. Since surround speakers are generally just a mid and tweeter (sometimes just a mid) these work perfectly in that respect. As loud as you want, and as crisp and clear as speakers get. I am very pleased.

The Sony book shelve speakers are fantastic. They have a nice clear crisp sound. On the back of it it has a mount for easy mounting and placing. The price on this product is fantastic. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for quality speakers.

I'm currently using these speakers as surround speakers hooked up to a 15 year old Fisher CD player. The CD player has two of it's own 3way speakers. The Sonys are plugged into the Fishers analogue surround. The Fisher is plugged into my LG blu ray player's audio analogue and the blu ray is plugged into my LG flat screen via HDMI. In addition, I have an Energy 200w sub also plugged into my blu ray player. For what I have here, the sound is phenominal, it's not the best system a guy could have but it's been doing a pretty good job so far. By this time in two weeks, I'll have my Onkyo A/V receiver and my Onkyo 7.1 speaker system, the plan is to add the Energy sub and the Sony's to make it a 9.2 speaker system. I have no doubt the Sony's will more than compliment the components that are on the way. If you're looking for something a little more specific about the Sony's, I've had them for about 3 months now and haven't experienced any distortion. The sound is clean, clear and powerful. I......
