For the price this is a fabulous unit. No problems, good battery life, great connectivity.
There is a glitch with the camera at start up but a call to the help line gave a simple work around, just a couple of clicks. I recommend adding a notebook mouse, as I don't care for the pad system which I also have on my H-P full size notebook.
This unit is super for traveling, the size and weight are excellent.
It does everything as advertised, well....

I bought this netbook as a birthday gift to myself. I am very pleased with it. It has more than achieved my excpectations. I didn't want the expense of a laptop and this netbook suits my needs fine. Regardless of previous reviews, I have had no connectivity problems even when it says the the signal is low. My animals knocked it off the table today and my pixels are fine. Maybe I was a lucky one, but even w only 3 batteries it lasts quite awhile. It is great for my use....

pkeystone says "disappointment in specs and screen failure" about Sylvania G Netbook Magni

This was a gift and I really liked it until I started to use it. I did a dump to a flash drive using a USB port that's when I found out the USB ports are the obsolete slow speed 1.0 and not the higher speed 2.0. The advertised specs Sears uses just mentions 3 USB ports and not if they are 1.0 or 2.0. Since this g netbook Magni is supposed to be the latest you would think they have the 2.0 USB. Then on the third day the screen "lost" a pixel and a fine vertical line appeared on the right quarter of the screen. Through the internet I found out "lost" pixel was a problem with this model. One person had to replace his three times for the same problem. That was the end--I returned the device to Sears. I found out through the internet that this Magni is a knock-off of the MSI Wind but that's where it ends. My experience with this Magni tells me the quality is poor. I plan to get the MSI Wind U100-641 through Sears since Sears has been real good with the return....

I bought this netbook simply for my two young girls to access e-mail and the web as we already have a desktop and two full laptops in our home. I was very disappointed in the quality to the product -- webcam malfunctioned, consistency error messages, weak wireless connection. I decided to return the Sylvania and purchase something from a "major" computer maker....
