I am glad I purchased an extended warranty for this cooling pad. the plastic casing around the switch has fallen off. Now it is shorting out, all in less then a years time. Waiting for refund so I can purchase a better quality cooling mat. Cheap and cheap.

I purchased the TARGUS NOTEBOOK CHILL MAT for my hp laptop, I love the mat it works great. The only problem is that depending on the type of laptop you have depends on how well it can cool it. My hp has vents it different positions that the fans on the chill mat. I have to have the mat about an inch forward and and inch to the right to cool the laptop correctly. I would like to see a chill mat where the fans could be moved to the positions of the vents under your laptop.

I like to use my laptop on my lap so I've become increasingly concerned at the heat being generated. Everything I read about this mat is true. It's very quiet and works great. It was only 12" wide but my 17" laptop fits on it fine....
