However, this side by side has been exceptional. It is so quiet you have to be within a few feet to actually hear anything. It maintains temperature extremely well. Ice making is rapid and we use a lot. The doors and shelves are well designed and hold a lot more than I would have thought for a side by side. The in door ice dispenser is a bit aggressive, but placing the glass correctly keeps the cubes from spewing everywhere. Have not changed the water filter yet but that seems fairly straight forward, and has easy access. A bit pricey, even on sale, but the extra few inches in depth make a big difference in the kitchen.... First it is very roomy because of the extra space in the freezer. Some concern about the ice dispencer paddle in front. Seems to dispense the ice so rapidly that it spills over the glass or other container. Perhaps it takes some getting used to. Shelving and visability inside is excellent. The motor is fairly quiet but is running most of the time. It is energy efficient so I suppose the use of electricity will be less than our old unit. We think this model has the important features that the more expensive similar Whirlpool model has. So for the price we feel it is a good buy....
