I recently took delivery of this product to put it through the paces. Needless to say, I am quite happy. I have never seen a product that I was so anxious to use. The unit still has the wood screwed to the bottom of it. I have tested products for ********** and was disappointed in the quality. I would recommend to anyone looking for a portable dishwasher to consider this unit.
...

Purchased 7/16/2006, Died 1/18/2010. Died right before the last pump out of the last rinse cycle. All lights & motors just went off. I tried it again today & it did not reset itself like the manual said it would. It never did a good job cleaning even in the pots & pans mode. I've had GE, Maytag & now Whirlpool only last me a little over 3 years with once a day use. The Kenmore on this web site has poor reviews about leaking & poor rack design. Who do I purchase from now?
...

I have had my dishwasher for quite a while now and I love it. Sometimes it difficult to find a high powered and still compact portable dishwasher but this one is both. Its large enough to accomidate just about any dish or pan and is high powered enough to really get them clean. I highly reccomend this product.
...

Completely unexpected from a Whirlpool product. A lightly-used product and well-maintained and cared for item in the kitchen has now caused significant pain and suffering. No more warranty and with once per week use (or less) in the last 18 months, it's now puking - thank heaven's I didn't leave for an hour or so while it was on!

Hard to reccommend this under current emotional let-down.
...

We have owned many portable dishwashers over the years and we were most disappointed in the Whirlpool which because it was the most expensive portable available and had the best ratings, promised to be a good buy. It wasn't.

First, it's capacity is much more limited than one would expect. This is because the racks are so poorly designed. It is hard to fit cereal bowls and other bowls in or any odd shaped dishes. Our old Maytag had a much better designed trays and would hold a 1/3 more dishes than the Whirlpool in the same amount of space.

Although it has a unique silverware tray that fits into the door, silverware does not get clean unless the silverware tray us placed in the bottom tray. We thought it would be a useful feature but it isn't except that being able to open up one side of the tray when emptying it is helpful.

Moreover, it takes an additional cycle to get the dishes clean but it does get them clean.

Consequently, because of the limited capacity, we have to run the washer......

I am so glad I bought this dishawaher.
At first, I was hesitant to buy a portable dishwasher because of the inconvenience of it and could not afford to immediately redo my kitchen. My daughter talked me into buying it and I am so glad I did. It cleans thoroughly without rinsing my dishes first. It even cleans caked on food residue. It has several different settings..............plenty enough for me. My dishes and pots and pans come out sparkling clean. Some reviews I read said it was noisey; but I did not find it to be any more noisey than other appliance and a lot less noisey than I had thought. It rolls smoothly and easily and connects easily. It also has a button to push if you need water from the kitchen sink while using the dishwasher. I couldn't be happier with this product....

I'll make this short and sweet. This dishwasher is excellent. It cleans dishes and cups in those hard to get places, and makes them look new. The only thing it needs is a little bit better drying cycle.
Thank you for a great product.....

I was very nervous about buying this dishwasher. I washed one load and it went away. This is one of the best investments that I have ever bought. It cleaned all of the dishes with ease. like all dishwashers, it is somewhat noisy but you can still watch a show in the next room with ease. We did not rinse the dishes before hand and everything came out like we would have washed it. This is the third whirlpool appliance that we bought this year and they have yet to let us down. Some complain about a handle not being there but a person can easily grab the back and the front to move it. I found moving it to be quite easy and I did not have to fight with it at all. I would recommend this to anyone and give them a demo to show how well it does the job. Thanks whirlpool for not letting us down again....

This is an excellent product. I brought it last winter/spring maybe 3/2006. It worked great. only thing is I wished the racks inside were as durable as those better washers. I brought the extra insurance in case it has a problem but as long as I had it was as durable as they come for the price.

I ended up selling it back since I needed the money. I strongly recommend if you are renting. It's a good size so it does take up some room in your kitchen. It also gives you extra counter space if you need it....

For being a portable, it operates quietly. It rolls easily to the sink even fully loaded. I have had it for a year now without any problems. The only thing I would change is where the silverware basket is. It is located on the inside of the door, but I would prefer a bigger one that could be loaded inside along the side of the dishwasher like my previous Kenmore was. That's not really a problem, just a personal preference. It does a good job of cleaning the dishes. My brother has the same model, only built in and is very pleased with his also....

This portable dishwasher was a time saver and a space saver. With its faux wood top it looked wonderful next to the counter when not being used as a dishwasher. The dishwasher is easy to roll to your sink and super easy to hook up. My dishes came clean every time. It has energy saving features which is great for lowering your bills. The way it is designed makes it hold a ton of dishes without taking up much space at all. It is wonderful. If fact when we moved we couldn't take it with us and all our friends lined up to buy it from us....

I bought this dishwasher almost a year ago and I am very happy with it. I have had no problems with the performance of the dishwasher, it gets dishes clean no matter how soiled they were when they were put in. The cycles are long, I usually start up the dishwasher when I go to bed just so I don't jepordize the use of my sink for the couple of hours that it needs to run. The on the door silverware holder is well designed - just don't block the water from getting to them. When the silverware rack is set on the counter, it usually falls over - it's only flaw. The racks are pretty typical, and it's pretty easy to get the maximum load into it. Rolling the dishwasher around the kitchen is pretty easy, kind of feels like rolling around a shopping cart loaded with groceries. I'm planning to convert it into a built in with Whirlpool's conversion kit. We'll see how that goes.
Would buy it again....
