My wife says they're bright and pretty and I agree. And, since they save more than 90% on electric costs, they will quickly pay for themselves in savings. The colors are richer than with incandescent bulbs. I wouldn't mix the two types. They just survived a season of rain and high wind, We'll see what happens next year....

I bought four strands of these LED lights last Christmas at Sears when they were on sale, because I heard LED lights were the way to go. They look beautiful on my tree, so much brighter than the regular bulb lights I used to have...and the LEDs don't get hot when you leave them on for hours like the old bulbs did. I packed them away carefully last year after taking them off the tree, and all four strands are still in perfect working order...not one bulb needed replacing! I've never been able to say that before of my old fashioned light strings. I recently watched a blurb about these LED lights on the news that said running ONE strand of the old fashioned Christmas lights for one month costs $4.50, while one strand of these LED lights costs 60 cents! That's crazy! So, really, the cost of running these lights saves me the initial added expense of buying the LED lights. I'll never buy the old fashioned lights again....

I bought 3 strings of these lights last year and have 6 replacement bulbs. I had to use 5 already this year since some of the bulbs failed. I was told yesterday by a Sears employee that these LED bulbs should last a very long time, if fact several holiday seasons. They fail because of rust and who knows what else. What makes me upset is that you CAN NOT BUY REPLACEMENT BULBS or even the LED minilights that go inside the bulbs. I will never buy this product again and will only buy lights that have replacement bulbs for sale....
