This is a great idea and you get bang for the buck. It is well worth the money spent. We take it camping and on picnic. I am giving this for Christmas presents to my nieces. This item enabled me to enjoy my daughter's music and it engaged her in what was going on around her, rather than being in a roomful of people with the ipod stuck in her ears. She can share her music and dance with her friends and siblings. She is no longer isolated.

I bought this product because it got good reviews and it does say in the back of the package that its needs AAA batteries. I teach dance in a high school and I always need a way separate dancing groups to rehearse on different things, I bought 3 of the speakers and they worked out great. I just wish they were available in the stores, for a quicker pickup when more are needed....

I've seen a couple of different reviews on this product, ones that talk about how this item doesn't say that it requires batteries. Well, if you turn the package over, and look underneath the little picture that shows the speakers in use, it says "Requires four AAA batteries (Not included)" Just thought that I would point that out. I have nothing but good things to say about this product....

Although this product works well, I was pretty upset when I realized that it required FOUR AAA batteries to operate. No where in the product description, nor on the package does it state that fact. You only discover it when you open the speakers to use them. I was very annoyed by this fact. I returned them and purchased a different type that does not require batteries....

I have a sony walkman and I can never find an accessory made for my player. This ispeaker works perfect. It does require 4 AAA batteries that it doesn't state on the package....
