tapowell94 says "Kaz Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier. Easy top fill spout." about Kaz Vicks Cool Mist Humidifier V420 & V425

My husband and I recently moved from Texas to Pennsylvania in the middle of winter. The dry air immediatly dried our skin and sinus. When we went shopping for a cool mist humidifier, it wasn't the first time. We each suffer from seasonal alergies. Our doctor suggested a cool mist humidifier for our two year old son, and my husband uses a humidifier nightly on his sleep apnea machine.

We decided we needed a new cool mist humidifier because our previous machines either had problems with flaking at the water source or mold growth (don't store them under the sink). We agreed on a few things, it had to fill up without removing the tank and it had to be budget friendly. We looked in every local store we could, Wal-Mart, K-Mart, Target, Sears, and the other mall stores. It was a nightmare. Every time we picked up a cool mist humidifier, they all required the tank be filled from the "bottom". Meaning we would have to remove the tank and then fill it up, replace some stopper and...
...

tapowell94 says "Never Change from Direct TV.. Really" about DIRECTV Group - HD DVR

We recently changed to Dish Network because my husband wanted the NFL package.

It was so not worth it! The new DVR system is so much more complicated! It's hard to prioitize, and occasionally confusing with the Dish.

And talk about your slow response! Just try Dish over Direct. You'll think you hit light speed.

Direct TV was easy to use, and had clear onscreen instructions. The telephone techinical support was always helpful.

I've become an okay user at the Dish, but Direct TV will always be my favorite.
...

tapowell94 says "Too few blocks, but tons of fun" about Mega Bloks 80-piece maxi bag

My son is now almost three. He's had the Mega Blocks for a year, since last Christmas. He really loves them, at the stack and sort stage.

I find there aren't really enough in one pack to really do much more than stack. So this is great for him now but I can see problems later. I can't really make to many "things" with the amount of blocks included.

There was also a dispropotionate amount of one color and the single block type of mega block. I think I'll add more to his collection each year, but for now he seems happy to just stack and sort.
...

tapowell94 says "Phonic's bus. Love it! My son loves it, two (play on words)" about LeapFrog Learning Phonics Bus

My son is now almost three. He has had the Phonics Bus since his first bithday. He still loves playing with it. I don't think he's done with it either. He now knows o and t which for a two year old is pretty impressive from just one toy.

It is also really easy for him to put the characters in and out of the bus. Great formotor skills and independent play.

The on and off switch are easy for him to work, as is the music playing button. This was great for developing motor skills and a sense of independent play.
...

tapowell94 says "School Bus best, but it doors do wear thin." about Little People School Bus

I liked this little people school bus toy when I bought it. I can't seem to find the wheelchair anymore, but my son is two and prone to stuffing things in wierd places.

He really likes it when it is in the off position. He's not really fond of the song / person talking. He likes the stop sign, but the rear door is his favorite. I never lost the doors, but the "latch" keeping the door in the closed position is worn out from his constant opening and closing. It lasted about as long as it could stand I guess.
...

tapowell94 says "I loved my minne's till I was blue in the foot. They fell apart!" about minnetonka silverthorne sandels

I love minnetonka shoes. I wore several different types. The only problem I had is that the dyes would often stain my socks / feet. Also, although I wore them exclusively, they did not last as long as I would expect for a shoe costing so much.

But oh they are a comfortable pair of shoes!!
...

tapowell94 says "Ouch! and again Ouch! My birkenstocks never became comfy!" about Birkenstock Sandals

Okay, I am a high school teacher. All the students wear birks, so did some of the clerical staff. So I tried. I understood the whole, wear them a few hours for the first few times, until they fit your foot. However, birks never worked for me. I even convinced my husband to buy a pair based on the rave reviews of those who wore birks. Let me tell you, it didn't work for him either. I must be the only person in the world who threw away a pair of birks after just one year of trying my best to get them to be comfortable. My hubby is not as patient, after only two months of trying to "break them in" he trashed them.

My final say... OUCH!
...
