tornadopat says "A must event to attend in person" about Golf Smart The Augusta National Golf Club - Golf Book

I just returned home from attending the Master's Golf Tournament in Augusta, Ga. For all the golfers in the audience and perhaps even those that are not golfers, this event is a must to include in your to do list. Compared to other major sporting events (ie a pro football, basketball, or baseball game) this six day event is actually cheaper per day to attend. The first two days (practice and par 3 tourney) cost about $35.00 per day to attend. The tournament itself is four days (Thurs-Sun) and costs $50.00 per day. You can buy all four days at once or get individual day tickets. I walked all 18 holes the first two days following Mickelson, Woods, Woodland, and several others, On Saturday I sat at the famous Amen Corner, and then the par 5, Number 15. On Sunday I sat by the Par 5 Number 2 green and finally Number 17 a long par 4 and was able to see every golfer in the tournament pass by while observing a leader board close by. Concessions prices are extremely inexpensive compared...
...

tornadopat says "Walk a mile in these shoes" about Covington Men's Madison Dress Shoe - Black

I purchased the Madison Black Shoe several months ago but waited to write the review to insure I liked these shoes. First let me say that they are so comfortable that there was actually no wear in period which is normal for other shoes that I have purchased. They are a loafer type shoe but fashionable enough to wear with a suit. The price was very very low compared to all the other shoes that I tried on or looked at. Highly recommend these shoe to all.
...

The Gillette 2 in 1 Hydrator and Body Wash is a great product for men to keep their skin soft and clean at all times. My bride of 41 years bought this for me as a Christmas stocking stuffer and I kind of puffed up my chest and said what is wrong with a bar of soap?? To my chagrin after using it for a little over a month, I found that i don't have that dry skin like i normally do in the wintertime. And by darn it even gets me clean in the shower. And since I am somewhat (well almost) completely bald, I even use it as a base to shave the old pate to a point it is bright clean and shiny!! I highly recommend this product to all the men who have problems with winter skin. It actually helps!
...

I must say I was pleasantly surprised to have been picked to receive The Kenmore Intuition Vacuum Cleaner in exchange for my honest opinion on a review. So thank you Sears for this opportunity.

After a lengthy but patient wait, and shortly after Christmas, I came home and lo and behold UPS had made a delivery on my front porch. There sat the Kenmore Intuition upright vacuum cleaner waiting for me. I quickly brought it into the house and exclaimed to the bride of 41 years that it had arrived and was waiting for me to extricate it from the box. With much trepidation I unpacked it as I knew from the size of the box that I would have to make some assembly in order to get it working. I say trepidation as I am somewhat (no alot) mechanically challenged when it comes to assembly of items (just ask my kids after Christmas presents were opened). Surprisingly, after unpacking and reading the directions, I discovered it easily assembled with only one screw needing to be emplaced to get...
...

My Craftsman 125PSI 1HP 3Gal Air Compressor which my bride of 41 years purchased for me last Christmas has proven to as valuable as gold. Being a bike enthusiast, having a dolly to move around heavy articles, the owner of a Craftsman Lawn Tractor, two cars, and a wheelbarrow, this compressor has been outstanding at keeping me going for the past year. It came with all the necessary fittings to fill each one of the above items with just an easy click remove, click put on. What more can a novice ask for than that!!! I highly recommend its purchase and it is not that expensive!
...

This machine is the cats meow in efficiency as it uses low water and high efficiency soap. You simply press the on button and turn the dial to the type of laundry (heavy load, bulky, normal, etc) and then press the desired water temp and away she goes with a little message noise to let you know when she has completed her cycle.
...

tornadopat says "A private university for success" about Park University

I must put in an outstanding review for Park University, especially if you are or have been in the military, police or similiar service to our nation. Park University has a program that turns your service into college credits and they are all over the United States and overseas. I attended the home campus and was awarded over 80 credits for that service, but I had also attended language school which helped tremendously on the credits.

It is located in Parkville, Missouri overlooking the Missouri River. It is a quaint suburb of Kansas City, Missouri with on campus housing or very close to apartments. The classes are relatively small compared to major universities which lends itself to helpful instruction from the professors. They are just wonderful in their assistance to students.

Being a private University, it is a tad more expensive than attending a State University. However, there are a myriad of opportunities for scholarships if you apply. There are so many scholarships...
...

If you travel to Lawton or Fort Sill, Oklahoma I recommend a stay at the La Quinta Inn which is relatively new and quite comfortable. It is a four floor hotel/motel, with all the necessary luxury arrangements needed for a relatively reasonable price. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and on the greeting counter were delicious chocolate chip cookies which I had to sample while I checked in to the motel. It was a quick check-in as I had made prior arrangements. I found a mobile cart to go to the car and loaded it up to take to my room. As I arrived at the room, I found it quite appealing and comfortable. I had a microwave and refrigerator to use along with a coffee pot and hair dryer. Of course with a bald head the hair dryer will just have to sit there and wish I had brought my bride of almost 41 years along with me.

One month ago on military appreciation day I purchased a Presto Dual Basket ProFry. I have now used it six times and am happy to report that it is an outstanding product that you can do your very besto in deep fat frying foods. I have cooked fried chicken, fried catfish, home made french fries, fried shrimp, and battered pork cutlets for sandwiches in this great deep fat fryer. It is exceptionally wonderful for two people which means the bride of almost 41 years and I can eat at the same time. Presto has a larger version, but this one is just fine for me and the bride. It also has the tremendous capability of steaming and boiling vegetables. Just change the oil to water and PRESTO you have that capability.

My bride of 40 years bought me a Craftsman 16"36cc Chainsaw for Christmas about four years ago because I had to cut back some trees at the end of our property. So that spring, I did just that and it worked like a charm. After cutting back the trees to get them away from a swing set for the grandkids, I cleaned it up and put it on the shelf in the garage. It lay there beckoning me to use it each year, but I just ignored its pleas to continue on using it until this year. Well dog-gone if those darn trees hadn't crept back over the fence in the back yard which hid the swing and made a muddy mess in the back yard cause no sunlight could get to the ground. So I scurried out to the garage and there laying on the shelf pouting was that grey and black Craftsman Chainsaw. I picked it up and dusted it off and filled it with the required mixture of gasoline and oil. I just knew that it wouldn't work because it had sat there for three years pleading to be run. Well I pressed...
...

My bride of 40 years purchased a Nikon D3000 (SLR) Digital Camera for me this last Christmas at Sears. I am a pure amateur photographer, but after reading the directions for this camera and putting those facts to use I have taken some amazing pictures thus far. It is truly an amazing camera whose operator headspace is somewhat a novice. However, the pictures are fantastic. She also purchased a Nikon AF-S DX 18-55mm zoom lens which is the cat's meow for taking close up pictures with the camera. The equipment along with the carrying case now makes this old fella's face brighten up tremendously when I take hundreds of pics which I can scan through and eliminate those that I don't need. I can not extol the easiness of operating this camera. Reading the directions is a must, but it is very easy to understand. I keep the user's manual in the carrying case because being a senior citizen, I oft times forget a fact or two and can quickly refer to the manual for something which has...
...

The Jameson Tavern Restaurant is nestled in the quiet town of Freeport, Maine right across the street from the anchor-store of LLBean. The restaurant is actually an old New England farmhouse which brags about being the birthplace of Maine and by golly it is!!. This is where the paperwork was signed which separated Maine from Massachusetts. So you can dine at a registered historical site. The food is quite scrumptious, but a tad pricey. However anywhere you go in the this locale is the same except for the few fast food places around. I liked the food so much that I ate there at least three times during my eight day stay along the coast of Maine. I had one of those yummy lobsters (see pic) before it grabbed my nose and toes with those claws. The restaurant has both a bar area (you can eat there too) and a quaint dining area. The servers are quite friendly and pleasant. Maine is mainly no smoking, but they do have an outside dining area for those who do smoke. Not many folks were......

For all you Asian food lovers that cook at home, I highly recommend S&B Fried Rice Seasoning. It is just out of this world and I will tell you how to do it. Go to your local Sears or KMart Grocery or your own favorite grocery store and buy thin sliced beef, or chicken, or pork, a large onion, a package of sliced mushrooms (or slice your own), a small box of rice, about nine eggs, and the S&B rice seasoning, a lemon, and a small bunch of green onions. Fix two cups of rice per package instructions. Cut up the meat into small bite size pieces, dice the onions into bite pieces, and slice the mushrooms. In a wok (if no wok a skillet will do), heat one tablespoon of butter about 300 degrees and cook the meat first using one pack of the S&B seasoning mix, a little salt and pepper, a dash of Morton's Nature Seasoning and a dash of ginger. Then stir in the onion and mushrooms until they are done. Set aside this concoction in a large bowl and scramble the nine eggs and set aside. ...
...

tornadopat says "A King and Queen delight" about Best Western - Ft Dodge, IA

The Best Western Hotel in Fort Dodge, Iowa was the cat's meow. I have to say that because I went a little overboard to wine and dine the bride of 40 years at this location which I do once in awhile just cause I love her. So this is a two fold review for the Best Western and the old Fort Dodge Museum and Fort. After leaving Winterset, Iowa and Bridges of Madison County, we arrived early afternoon at Fort Dodge and were greeted by the sweetest receptionist ever named Martha. I told her I want to sweep the bride of 40 off her feet and she told me she has perfect room for us. It was a king size bed with all the bells and whistles to include a bath hot tub (oh boy and I will leave the rest to your imagination on that one). It was just a tad over a hundred dollars, but well worth the stay on this trip and I accumulated a few extra points on my account for this one. After settling into the room, we were off to visit the old Fort Dodge. It was only minutes away from the motel. ...
...
