tomtom G0 730 4.3 in. Wide Touchscreen Display GPS Navigation System —
I bought this GPS in January, and let me tell you this is the best GPS system I have ever used. Two of my friends have Garmins and in my opinion they Garmins don't even compare to my TomTom. The navigation on the device is extremely easy to use and has a ton of personalization options. The voice that tells me directions does not sound as computer-y as other GPSs I have heard, and it always picks up a GPS signal within 30 seconds. I have used this to drive from NJ to ME and back again, and have not had one bad direction given. Part of this is due to the great software that is included with the device, called "TomTom Home." Not only does this software download the most recent map for you when you first plug it in, it also has a community feature. If someone comes to a road that has changed, they can press a button on the TomTom to record the current location. Once they connect the TomTom to their computer afterward, it will ask what street was wrong, and then submit it to TomTom. TomTom then verifies the information is correct, then will issue FREE updates for the map called MapShare which will add the new/changed roads to your TomTom. This whole verification process means that noone will be able to make up false information to mess around with people. I love this TomTom, and I'm glad I bought the two-year PurchaseProtect plan because if anything does go wrong with this within two years, I can just buy a new one. And you bet it will be a TomTom!
