Many of you no this, but Sear's former CEO, Coach Lewis was black.  I think this is a big reason why barack obama got elected.

What a historical night! It's great to have our country come together and witness something so amazing. Where were you on election night?

I was home watching it all happen on tv. I wish I could've been at Grant Park or nearby. You could even sense the energy of the crowds by watching it on tv. Must have been awesome for those who actually went!

I'm sorry but I just have not been impressed by him. I was more impressed with the graceful way McCain conceded.

Yeah and he's just gonna save the world! NOT!! Wake up people and do your homework and read his past and realize that he is biracial and his caucasian mother and grandparents nutured and raised him to be who he is, NOT his Kenyan relatives. He only saw his father at 2 when he left him and then again at 11!!! HELLO!!

LET ALL AMERICANS TAKE AN INTEREST IN VOICING YOUR CONCERNS TO A NEW PRESIDENT WHO TOLD YOU HE IS A LISTENER.  HE IS ALSO READY TO TAKE ON AMERICAS ECONOMIC POLICIES AND CORRECT THEM. STAND FOR SOMETHING MY FELLOWS, OR FALL FOR EVERYTHING. GET OVER YOURSELVES, GET TO THE BIG PICTURE, MAKE AMERICA STRONG IN FAITH, ALL OF ITS MANY CULTURES, TOGETHER WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL. REMEMBER THE FREEDOMS MANY AMERICANS STILL HAVE,THE RIGHT TO WAKE UP WHEN YOUR READY!

Barack Obama was elected because Sears formerly had an African-American CEO?

So nice to watch all the racially charged comments!  This does set a great precedent that anyone can be the leader of the USA, no matter your ethnic heritage.  Ability is not restricted due to race!  There is a downside through.  If things go to hell, no matter if it is Obama's fault or not, we can see a backlash.  A return to the mentality of the "white man's burden" BS of the late 1800s.  "Minority is not capable of such complex efforts and iti s the white man's burden to help civilize them."  It is complete and utter BS, yet people still believe that crap.

To be honest, I cannot stand Obama, but I could not stand McCain either.  Obama is just another politician, that says one thing, yet his voting record says something else.  I truly believe that Obama is as white on the inside as McCain is on the outside.  The only difference between the two of them was the pigment of their skin.

Yet, it will be so much fun to aggravate racists for the next 4 years, "Now now now, I had to respect your stupid W president, so least you can do is respect and obey the new Black president"  It is going to be fun and I have already started picking on klansman at work :P

Right, darjeeling...it boggles the mind, the stupidity does...

Barack Obama was elected as our next President because he is the BEST MAN for the job.  Get your head out of the sand, Classic-Elements...no one cares WHAT the former CEO of Sears was....rofl

I don't care for either Barack Obama or John McCain.  I believe that our country believes what ever the media feeds them and that most people don't research the canidates before they vote.  I think everyone should spend more time looking at the canidates voting records and not so much time voting for someone because of their race or gender.  It would be historical if someone was voted in for telling the truth not what everyone wants to hear.  Politicians are just a joke...the way our country is going is just a joke.  It is all about the rich getting richer and people believe they are free here.  Ask yourself this....do you ever actually own anything?  The answer is no.  If you get your house paid off you still have to pay taxes on it and if you don't they will take your house.  Taxing the people goes against what is writen in the constitution.  Taxes were made to tax companies and goods....not to tax people on their postions.  If you don't believe me look it up and actually read what is written.  I think it is a crime people are going to jail for not paying this tax, because this tax is unlawful.  People on those juries should be ashamed and they should have asked for a copy of the constitution before they sent their felllow americans to prison.  Sorry that was just a side note.  Ron Paul would have been a great president....but the media labled him as crazy and we sheep followed suit.  Before we lable someone as being a nut I think we should do the research on what they are saying...and I am not talking about going to media web sites for advice what a joke.

Perhaps some dramatic irony but teaming the first black (for lack of a better descriptive) ceo and president may not be so unrealistic. As amateurish as Sowing the Seeds was,  Al and Barry seem to share a common ideal and attitude. Wonder if the whitehouse has a bball court?

If you haven't noticed, everyone is mixed with something.  Even if you have a little black in you, you are still considered black.  Whether Obama is biracial or not, he is still our new President.  You can get over it!  This is a historical event and will be in history books for years to come.  Even if he is biracial, He is the first biracial (black and white) president in history.  Thank you.
