I really love this time of year!  Although, it does get us one step closer to winter, it is nice to be out with a little chill in the air, and crunching leaves underfoot.

What is your favorite thing to do in the fall?  Watch or play football?  Rake leaves?  Visit a pumpkin patch?

I love fall!  I love the crisp weather, the colors of the leaves, and the smell of the air.  I like to visit my local cider mill on the weekends as they have local bands giving concerts.  I also love geocaching in the fall as it's too buggy in the summer to really enjoy it.

I pretty much love everything about fall the fashions, football, etc.

I like the weather, how its cool, but not too cold. I love  raking the leaves and the smell of fallen leaves on the ground. I live about 20 min from bordentown nj and the first weekend of oct they have a cranberry festival, which is a once a year thing that I always look forward to, so thats coming up, can't wait.

Also, fall is usually the return of my fav tv shows (House 9/21, family guy 9/27)

I can go on and on. this is really the best season for everything!

I'll be closing up the cottage in a few weeks, always kind of eerie going to a place that changes so drastically from the excitement of summer but the vibrant colorful leaves and warm cozy fire are like the ghosts of those hot sunny days.

Oh!  I didn't even think about the TV show fall situation.  I am excited about my shows coming out, too!  (30 Rock and The Office).

Mad, do you still enjoy your cottage in the fall and winter months, or is it just a summer place?  New England, in general, seems to be really beautiful this time of year!

I need to chime in here, been kinda quite due to the fact it is fall.  Fall yard clean-up.  My favorite!!!!!!  Bring on the leaves.  Next, gutter cleaning.  Bring on the leaves!!!!  Soon it will be my favorite Winter activity......plowing.  Nothing like having your windows down @ 3 in the morning when it's 10 degrees outside, music blaring, coffee in hand, yellow strobes going off in the background......Bring it on!!!!!!

I like it getting so cold the ground wasps finally retreat to where-ever they retreat to.

I can work anywhere about the property, save for in the direct sunlight (red-head).

Plenty of yard, meadow, grove and forest work to do.

I'm still reducing the fire-load from years of very "casual" property up keep.

You wouldn't BELIEVE what I'm finding buried on this piece of land!

The Craftsman high-wheel trimmer, lawn-vacuum and riding mower are definitely going to be getting their seasonal workouts.

Harvesting the black-berries is always fun.

Although, the deer get far more than we do.

It's a few hours drive to Brackney and with the water disconnected a little primitive for winter tho we've been there then.

Fall is where it's AT!

I got this extra long handled rake I use to clear pine needles off a the cabin's roof.

Then, the wife and I clean the gutters.

Good times...

The best thing about fall is deer or elk hunting on a crisp morning with a fresh coat of frost on the ground.

We are going apple picking tomorrow with the kids!  Haven't really done this before, but, I am up for trying to make an apple pie later this week!

Football and tailgaiting, leaves changing to bright brilliant colors (the downside is picking up after they fall off the trees), a 3-week trip to the NE to see fall in Maine, Vermont, NH and Canada starting the 27th of Sep, roasting marshmellows on the back porch in the evening, oh and did I mention Football:)

Hockey! Hockey! Hockey!

And leaves turning yellow and red,  corn maze, fire pit, baking because it's cooler. Guys go hunting and come back with venison jerkey.

Boots, warm sweaters, hot chocolate...

I am in Maine now and eating Lobster from the cold cold waters off the coast.  I am also visiting lighthouses and all the local wonderful places - reviews will be coming soon and blog entries - the leaves are so beautiful up here and the air crispy cool!!
