Congrats on the recent weight loss.  I am currently pursuing losing weight as well.  Just got started but I have lost 14 pounds.  But I will definitely stay away from the Rec because I can't afford to pick them up.  (lol)!!  Keep up the good work with the weight loss!!

Hi Lisamarie31069 - I remember turning 30 and it was harder than turning 40 but it shouldn't be. I hope you'll feel more at ease about it and see that these are all great years!

I love your screen name!  How creative!

Hi! I'm Wi-Sunshine!  Just found all of you today!  Not really sure what to do here, I'm just so much a peope person, I thought this would be an interesting place.  I am a married mom of 2 and grandma of 2 little boys age 6 and age 13 weeks.  I LOVE to shop for neat stuff for them. (I don't believe you can spoil them too much, that's why God made grandmas!) I'm a sorta retired surgical nurse who is loving staying home watching my 6yr old "sweetie" part time.  Our favorite thing to do together is garage saling!  Oh...the bargains!  Just finally got done redecorating and remodeling our home and looking forward to my hubby retiring the end of this year.

My name is Dave.  I do all my grocery shopping at K-Mart.  I like the variety - they have everything I am looking for.  The frozen foods department is especially nice, a large variety of things I can't find elsewhere.  The checkout is great too - I never have to wait in line more than 2 or 3 minutes to check out.

My name is Shelley. I am 40 years old, married with 2 kids in college and 3 step children, 14,9 and 5 years old.  Its like starting all over again!  I live in Albany GA - southwest GA.  I moved from Orlando and hated this place at first (yes, i came back home), but its kind of nice knowing people and the slow pace is a welcome now.  you know its small when your mom sends you with a signed blank check to the grocery store called Piggly Wiggly and you can just fill it out with no questions!

Well I meant to put my intro in here so hopefully admin or something will delete my stray intro :)

anyway....

Hi everyone.  I am a stay at home mom to two great little boys.  My husband happens to be in the military so we are currently living in Japan.  sears has great military support but occasionally they forget to put the military overseas option on forms (such as the one I used to create my profile) Hence why it says I live in California.  But thankfully they ship to us out here.

Good evening everyone.  I am from Minot, North Dakota and am a legally blind author...yes, your read right...author.  I am divorced and the proud mother of a 22 year old son.

I am currently losing weight too...I have lost over 100 pounds since November 21,2006.  Prior to that I lost and kept off 130 pounds.  Those of you working on weight loss don't give up on your endeavors...you will succeed with time.  Also do not make the scale a daily routine...that is an easy way to give up when things do not look like you are losing...have someone take your picture every month so that you have an idea of just how well you are doing...inches may be coming off while you are on a plateau.  You should be proud of what you have lost so far.

I love reading too, I use large print and talking books.  I love a good mystery and historical novels as long as they are clean.

My screen name is Retail man...I just don't know why I love kmart but I do. My background is in shoes sales and management ( remember Fayva?),  retail sales,
mechandising and product placement etc...I intend to post my ideas for a better Kmart here so people can see and hopefully corporate will take notice and use them as a
spring board. Now that Kmart/sears own the Thom mcan and other footstar brands
there is so much that can be done with that and other store improvments...hope they heed my ideas as well as all the excellent posts I read here.

I'm a job coach for ARC.  I worked for Kmart for 23 years prior as an electronic manager.  My maiden name is Roebuck, which i now find funny since Sears now owns K-mart.

Hi All, I am Pam a 46 year old women, married with 3 grown children, 2 grandchildren and another on the way. I worked retail for about 15 years when I was younger, I live in WV now but once worked in the K-Mart in Syracuse, NY.  I always took pride in my work and now that I am on the other side of the isle so to speak, I am very disappointed in customer service at all of our local stores. I hate to give my money to people who can't even take a second to smile or say have a nice day; even if they don't feel like it.
WV is a beautiful state, but it is also one of the poorest states in America; we need someone to step up and actually be competition for Wal-Mart. They have taken over here and I hate to ever shop there. The K-Mart here supports our local charities, while Wal-Mart does nothing unless it is to their benefit. I hope we can really make some changes and help K-Mart and Sears get back on the map here in WV, glad to meet all of you and look forward to chatting. God Bless. Pam

Hello everyone, I am enroute. I picked this name because I am still searching for what I am, what I want, and what I should be (to myself & the world).

I am a stay at home mom and am currently writing a book.

I shop at K-mart but I luv to shop at Sears. ALOT of people still think of Sears of old but it has changed drastically over the last decade. They have great clothes and great prices. When I go I have to hit every department. As a matter of fact I purchased my Bridesmaids dresses there. Yes I really did and they were beautiful. And I can't even begin to tell you the number of people I've sent to Sears for homecoming & prom dresses.

Well I'm on board, enroute.

Guess I missed this one when I first joined.  My name is Laurel, I have been in SC for over 6 years now. I will be divorced in the next few months (not by my choice, but I am trying to deal with it). I am a mother of 2 adult sons, an adoring grandmother of 2 1/2 grandsons. I love animals of all kinds.  I have a tendency to rescue what I can.  Can get you in trouble sometimes, but I love them all. I have been on the East coast since 2000. Before that I was West coast and mid states.  I have worked some retail stores (that I won't name names), have owned my own business, done accounting for over 30 years, and now work in a rock quarry.  I love my job, and meeting new people.  I think this forum is awesome.  Finally a place to get our ideas and opinions out there and know that someone IS truly listening.
