LockedKmart Spring Layaway

Kmart's Layaway program was a big success this last holiday season. Did you take advantage of it? How helpful was it for you?

As Kmart continues the Layaway program into the Spring, how likely to use it for your Spring purchases (Lawn & Garden, Easter, Mother's Day etc.) are you?

There is a really nice Kenmore grill I'd love to put on layaway at Kmart.  I saw it the other day and I've been tempted every since.

I would use the lay away at Kmart, if the Kmart I go to had a lay away program.   The last I knew thay didn't have a lay away any more.  Has that changed?  Do all Kmarts now have lay aways?

Yaweh -

From my understanding, Kmart has layaway at all of its stores.  Have you inquired at the customer service desk?

All Kmarts should have layaway, it's a corporate mandate.

thatmanguy,

Most Kmat stores have Layaway but not all. I suggest that you call your Kmart store first to find out. As we identify customer demand and need for Layaway, the service is added assuming the Kmart store can operationally handle this task. So, it is not a corporate mandate but a service we offer our customers whenever we can.

I know that my local K-Mart was one of the ones without layaway.

not all k-mart stores have layaway.

you can find the closest one (by zip code search) by visiting www.kmart.com/layaway

all Sears stores, however, should have layaway but details for Sears layaway (payments, applicable items) are different.  u can check Sears layaway policies here www.sears.com/layaway

hope this helps

I'm not sure if there are tool layaways.

My wife will be very "unhappy" if there are...

Yup. A table saw. A cast-iron one!

Bump!

There are definitely tool layaways!  We usually do about 1 a week! (mostly saws and portable power tools)
