(For all the Kmart fans amongst us)

Turn back the clocks and revisit Kmart in 1976 through their annual report.  See them celebrate their 1,000th store -- and read about their major expansion in 1977 to open up 270 new locations!  In just 5 years (1982) Kmart would boast over 2,000 stores.

Back when Kmart was king and the cars (and hairstyles) were a little bigger...
