Great idea, but flawed execution. It's hard for me to see how this was usability tested. a few suggestions:
1. test out the shopping and checkout flows
2. there should be a layaway link to a storefront that shows only items that qualify with a simplified checkout flow
3. for ex. kmart suggests boys sleepwear as a category that qualifies. i can't find a single item in there that works with layaway. Can anyone? if so send link.
4. some of the layaway links don't work on Sears.com
