recovery.gov tells you where all the money goes. Not that you have to trust it...but they wanted to show people where all the money went. There are some really weird numbers though. Check this stat out for your state

Contracts: 323(number of contracts)  $505,378,178 (cost) 429 (jobs saved).

lol so according to the government they spent 500MM to save 429 jobs. That's almost a million a job. Weird huh?

$400 tax cut for each adult.  Cash for Clunkers, Cash for 1st time homebuyers.  Some education tax break that has probably kept some people in school.  Doubt they've created many new jobs, but they've kept a couple of segments of economy from collapsing completely.

Stimulus package sounds so much better than a "keeping it from all completely collapsing package".

Ryblue, you said on the other thread that they've raised taxes, but what taxes has the federal government raised?

Maybe if you guys had conserved your money instead of spending it on RPAs and maintence agreements, we wouldnt be in this mess. I don't get how everyone complains about the defeceit, we are all apart of it.

Just be happy we have a roof over your head and clothes on your back, alot of countries don't have those luxuries.

deficit may look like a simple word but as you may know it...deficit means we are importing goods more than we are exporting...meaning we are spending more than we are making...and that translates to the tax burden that we will have to pay for....that's why we have to develop more businesses locally, produce things locally...like energy,...make solar panels, we can harness the wind, drill our own oil, explore clean coal...so we can be energy independent and keep our money within our country and consequently, create more jobs, too...

I agree with Rvblue, but I do not think anyone is really listening. Just in the last couple of week there have been 2 refineries closed in the USA. Does this make us more energy independent

Well the real problem is the oilcompanies.  Ethanol, a renewable cheap resource to make has been around forever, its what they use in race car engines, its 10x cheaper than oil and easier to produce and just now considering it? Why is that?

because oil companies force the items to be ridiculosuly over priced so they can ride out the final wave of oil consumption, if it werent for coporate greed, we would have switched 50 years ago, as oil is expensive, dirty (enviromentally wise) and in the hands of our enemies. blame the guy at the top sqeeuing the money out of america

and you ignored my point, dont whine when you could be eating bugs
